The title says it all. Got the hepa filter and the fan but I'm not sure what to use as a pre-filter. I'm thinking a hepa filter for vacuum cleaner but I want to hear other opinions.

I use anything from merv10 to merv14 furnace filters, sized most appropriately to cover my intakes. I framed a spot for them on my fh I built. I just duct taped them to my ffu hella ghetto. It works.

Depends how long you want your flow hood to last and how dirty the air is its cleaning. Ide at least go to home depot and get the cheapest furnace filter you can for like 2 bucks and tape that over the ibtake. Or spend a couple more bucks on a nicer filter and a more decent way to attach it. I would personally make it a priority considering how important a fh is in cult/how much you paid for it probably.
