Idk whats going on, my bags all start to smell, I sterilize for 3 hours. I'm thinking its not at the correct pressure I need a pressure gauge or PC for 4 hours. Like I've done the bags successfully many years ago idk what the fuck is going on and all my jars are 100% all good. Lost like 200 pounds of dry grain it sucks. I did this shit first try like 6 years ago all 20 bags 100% success rate...like waht the fuck this is such bullshit I've done like 10 full PC runs for nothing... trying over and over allot of wasted time and grain like I don't enjoy loading bags and perfectly packing them and folding them and shit its the only part I'm not a fan of. Yo you don't even know how much bags and grain I've thrown out.. its getting ridicules...today I'm doing just a small batch(6 bags) or maybe 8 bags 4 in each PC instead of 6 and I will PC for 3 1/2 hours and if this shit fails then I will not be the happiest I could be lol
No lie I've thrown out like 80 bags just PCing and throwning them out like a clown. Like keep them coming we need more PC'd bags for the garbage. Keep them coming son. Just PC them, I will open them and throw them in the bush just make sure you can keep up with more PC'd bags to throw out.
I load 6 3qt bags in each PC and I PC for 3 hours, I have to pack them and fold them and compress them perfectly or else they will not keep shape in the PC, or pop, or not seal correctly, so I take my time doing this and each time I make a batch I'm saying to myself ok, this is it, no fucking around no bullshit these bags are good, then they start to smell. This is unacceptable and I have to fix this TODAY, I'm so done making seeds for nothing. I've never had this issue before. I used to have like 99% success and I still do for my jars.
Its almost like my bags filters let in contams, they are weak unicorn 3t filters. Or my impulse sealer doesn't seal it good, but it looks like it seals it great so IDK
I don't know If I can do another batch of bags, kinda getting sick of standing around a PC and loading grain and folding bags for nothing I might as well just stare at a wall and burn bills one by one. The amount of colonized grain I could have had by now just really grinds my gears, I should have like 80 bags of beautiful mycelium
When I load the PC I stack the bags on top of eachother I don't rotate them at all so one side of the bag is pressed up against the wall of PC and the opposite side is pressed against the other bag leaving only the sides exposed to steam, I do this so the bags seal properly and don't expand to much in PC ..... this is what stands out to me, so I guess I will put some jar lids in there and hope it doesn't pop my bags, or cause a new issue..

it is bacterial the bags don't mold, even smelly bags left outside for a week they just went all wet looking chakno?
was thinking about doing atmospheric pressure sterilization so I can do 20+ bags at once  I think my PC's are shitty anyways..maybe if I do the steam sterilization for 8 hour I might have a better sterilization. I could buy an all murican with gauge so I can see what the pressure is at, and also the part that allows it to depressurize very slowly and keeps a seal until opening. The PC's I use are thin walled aluminum with old gaskets, idk maybe some bacteria gets in on the cool down?

No sarcasm. I literally did not know this, I've grown mushrooms over 20 times and never vented. I was so happy when I read the comment about venting, like I just had sex or something. The PC I have has a little red vent thing that pops up and locks the lid...is that venting enough?

I will consider the pillow cases..and I don't think I am doing too much if I can just get passed this issue with the bags I can then really pump out the bags in the hundreds no prob. I have made tons of bins and prepped allot of substrate, once I correct this issue things will go smoothly.
