Shoebox fruits stalled
    #27373839 - 07/04/21 11:00 AM (2 years, 6 months ago)

I started 2 shoeboxes from 5 BRF cakes on 13th June and they grew fine for a while. They eventually started to produce pins 1 and a half weeks ago but they stopped growing since the last 5 days. I tried a couple of things already from misting to increasing FAE but nothing really seems to help.

The second shoebox was spawned with two sketchy cakes so there could be some bacterial growth happening....

My question is do you guys know what is up with my shoeboxes and what should I do with them.

If they stalled for 5 days then I'm not sure what can be done, if you have the space outside your best bet is to bury it and hope nature takes care of the contams and you get some outdoor mushrooms. Nothing will ever grow if you use contammed spawn.
This thread is a checklist for clean spawn:

Okay got you thanks!
However only one shoebox was spawned with sketchy spawn...

Anyone else got an idea what could be up with the other shoebox?

Do you think I should just pick the fruits, dry them, give the shoebox a 4 hour dunk an hope for a better 2nd flush?

Don't spawn them outside. (Throw them out)

Just increase FAE ALOT. and stop misting. You really shouldn't need to mist a shoebox. You have fruits, but they look like they needs some fresh air and less rain.

At least the mushrooms in the top picture look very alive and I have never seen them just stall at that size. Are you sure there is absolutely no change for 5 days?

Looks like most of them aborted. It happens sometimes.

Hello I am back with a little update.

I increased FAE by flipping the lid and already the next morning I saw some fruits exploding in one of the two tubs. Harvested them yesterday!
I kinda had the wrong idea in my head that cubes need a lot of moisture and totally forgot about fae wich is probably more important if your sub is not bone dry!

Thanks for your help guys.
The second tub is also slowly getting better i think it was just wayyy to wet and did not have any fae for the fruits to grow.
