quick question on preserving

do you really need to use paper instead of a zip lock plastic baggies for storing in the refigerator. One of the teks suggests that it will rot in plastic, but they are only going to be preserved for 2 days.

You can keep fresh shrooms in the refrigerator for up to 7 days in a closed paper bag in the door side of the ice box. I used to use large plastice bags for a few days for one mushroom only for making cultures. But plastic is not good for normal storage.

But they will stay fresh if in good healthy condition when stored in the ice box in a plastic bag for two days..

Ice box meaning refrigerator.

I know what an iceboxz is. It is a cooler with a large brick of ice in it. However, In Chicago where I partially grew up,. people referred to them as Ice box.
