I recently start pressure cooking a Nutribullet blender cup+blender blade filled about 3/4 full with water (I think it's about 500ml?), alongside a top that I fashioned with a liquor pour spout melted into one of the cup lids that came with the unit (sealed with red RTV). I wrap that shit in foil, PC for 30 minutes, then put it in front of my flow hood. Toss in a piece of agar, or a spoonful of colonized grain, easily knocks up 200+ quarts. Colonizes super fast too because it's so evenly spread, I've had jars ready in 5 days, but I still always wait until 7-9 days before I use them. Just starting to use agar with this method, noticing similar results, but definitely more dilute mycelium in the mix compared to colonized grain, so a bit slower.

Speaking of LI I just did my first write up if yall hadn't noticed. I like to see it as a blend between the tiger drop, munches LI, and a simple crackplate/quantomqup.
Check it out https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27371313

With blenderless LI you have to shake the living shit out of it to suspend the myc and break up the agar, otherwise you'll get weak growth. Stir rods won't cut it.

I definitely want to try the blenderless next time. Do you add marbles or broken glass to the jar before sterilizing? I feel like I read this somewhere on here. Seems like it would help with the shake breaking everything up. Could just be really old tek, though.

That's killer, am I reading it wrong or is it actually $255 for just one of those containers?

Yeah its a waring lab blender, they're expensive. I've already spent soo much money doing this I've kind of become desensitized to lab equipment costs. The base is nearly 900.
I don't just do this as a hobby though, this is a long term career choice and lifestyle for me. It's the only thing that I do, I don't have a side gig.

Yeah I respect that, quality equipment is more than worth it. I'd consider that if I wanted to run LI's really seriously but I'm definitely not a place yet where I can justify that kinda purchase when I could probably get by with the Oster for a while. Cool to know though.
Any reason you wouldn't go for an Eberbach brand Waring blender with a borosilicate container? The containers seem similar priced to the one you linked but looks like they have bases in the ~$300 range.

I haven't searched far and wide yet for prices, Eberbach would certainly work. I'll run a deeper search when I'm ready to pull the trigger. I've been wanting a lab blender and decent bioreactor for some time now.
