Here are my Natal clones from that last grow... looking pretty good! I've got all these on grain starting to grow out. Going to see one preforms better than the rest.

lol those are some weird tubs.
D3 I’ve had those ones where the caps roll up like semperviva before too but they stayed like two inches. That first flush looks really different too, almost pan like.

I really like the look of your second flush. How thick is the sub? Tried a low dose to get shit done around the house. Nope, too sleepy.

The 5 tubs are all coming along. The 2 pumping out overlay are about 1/4" thick. Hard to see in the photo but one of the 2 is showing uniform pale blue bruising. Still not sure what the other 3 are gonna do.
Here's a golden halo tub spawned a few days before these as a fun comparison:

Sorry for the uneven lighting. LED tubes causing a weird strobe effect.

4qts spawn and like 6-8qt cv…whatever that equals… 3”?
I think these would run good in 1020 trays. Harvest be a breeze, fill tray to edge, once ready to harvest just run a bread knife across top cutting flush n level.

Well boys, I'm on the board. The tubs aint great but I got a decent enough harvest from one box to give them a try

Gave them a thin casing layer of potting soil at about 80% colonization and it seemed to keep the overlay away. Obviously not pinning that well, and the two sluggish boxes have blue bruised myc all over the surface. Any suggestions?
Also, some of the fruit were like, totally bruised. Good to eat?

Huzzah! Welcome to the club! I'd still eat that fruit. When I was harvesting mine they looked very similar, nearly entirely bruised.

I’m curious if there’s consistent potency differences between phenos. This seems to be pretty much the only species that you could post three pictures of and everybody would think it was three different types.
Benson most of my gross have been similar to your tubs. You should try flipping one and see what happens. Mine usually took a while but they eventually get going, I had a couple tubs for over two months.

I think we need to send the two Phenos to Alan. But I know I got the long skinny stems and blue caps from the print that AKA sent to me, from the same variety that grew short stubby caps like D3's. Might just be the biggest diversity of phenos in an active mushrooms.

Benson, let us know how you like the trip! When I crack mine open after they dry they are black and spongey fibrous inside

I'm super interested in this as well. Would love some clarity with the crazy Nat phenos!

Speaking of unique possibilities... just now got some T1s going of a very clean germination of Adrenognome's potential Nat x Playa cross. Fucking stoked... I'd love to see Alan get his hands on both additional nat phenos and playa. Once you've smelled a tub of playa and play with those weird fuckers, you have no choice but to raise your eyebrows in suspicion.

Considering how crazy this myc gets, we can probably find some sort of Natty-Nigma type growth as well.
I know people are starting to find enigma type growth in other varieties, the potential is definitely there with this.

That's a lovely thought right there. I think the further along the domestication process moves, the more likely that will become. There are a ton of questions to be asked and applied in real time and we'll all be assessing the parameters together. Woot!

Glad to hear it was clean. Cant wait to see what F2 looks like for you. Got one last tub of that clone colonizing now. Second flush of the tub I printed for you had bunch bigger caps and more spores. I will be collecting more prints to see what happens!

awwwww yeah. Very interested to see your next gen. Hoping to be able to drop a T2 to grain (just to be safe since I've tried to refrain from dropping hasty cultures atm regardless of appearance) asap. If these T1s look as good as I think they will, I might break my rule. Got some playa on pace too for real time comparisons and a full breakdown. Starting new nat spores tonight for the same reason. - and yes it was as clean as I could have hoped for.
