 PF Tek vs bulk and Wife Acceptance Factor (WAF)

Getting your mate to go along with your grow can be a very difficult thing.
One advantage of the PF Tek is that the SGFC actually looks kind of cool. Conversely, bulk grows are all ugly as Hell. My wife would freak if I sat an ugly tub in any one of our rooms in our house.
Does anyone have experience with this phenomena? WAF is critical, especially when she is paying. half of he bills.

Bulk grows look cool asf. I wouldn't want an ugly ass SGFC full of perlite in my house

I suggest looking up shoeboxes. They're relatively small and tasteful.

Unwillingness to compromise in either direction is a good way to kill a relationship. You should write a tek on how to ruin a marriage without having to drill holes in anything.

I can see that some of you are not married, LOL. I bought my house before getting married, but my wife is dropping $10K on remodeling. That is a months salary for her. She is much younger than me, gorgeous and is an excellent cook.
She is not happy about my growing hobby to begin with, so yeah I want to keep things tidy.

My gf hates my hobbys. She does love the free smoke and mushys though . keep it tight N clean. Tell no one.

I can't get my wife to take a puff of MJ, let alone cubensis. I can't even get her to eat a gummy.
I don't worry about it as long as the sex is good. I also like getting women to spend money on me.

do you not have a garage or office or even a dang closet where you can get away with interrupting your lady's aesthetic? if you MUST grow in a shared space and looks are a factor you could try building something cool like a coffee table with an FC hidden inside of it or one of those groovy aquarium FCs that used to be so popular. remember that cubes need minimal light to grow so your cakes dont have to be visible, you could have them in an opaque bin with a little light mounted inside. there are lots of options here if you get creative
side note: fuck yo SGFC, if you wanna do pf cakes make a HC

Mono’s and sgfc’s look cool asf. If she has a problem with a tub sitting in a room then you must walk on eggshells bro. I also think if you just do you and set up your mono in a room by a window—you would think she’d understand that her dude is on to some new hobby deal and be cool about it…if not, tbh, I don’t think telling her “too bad” is that bad of an idea…it might come as a shock but it might also make her think, “ok my man has a backbone and maybe I shouldn’t be so sketch about his plastic tub sitting by the window”.. if she trips about tubs sitting in rooms then I wonder what she’ll think when she walks in on you sitting in front of your sab (also a tub on a table but it’ll be upside down with you reaching inside it fiddling around with scalpels n shit)

You can always get a storage bench like this and put a mini mono inside. Stealthy and tasteful! 
That particular one is from IKEA, but there are plenty that could work.

Yeah, I think the SGFC looks cool. As stated in another thread, my house will be undergoing remodeling, so my primary concern is dust.
Back to the SGFC...I was thinking of just getting a system going, preparing cakes, waiting for mycelium while the fruited cakes grow. Of course I will dunk cakes for a second flush.
I know that most consider the PF Tek as primarily a training exercise, but it is not a bad looking system. You guys may think a tub full of mushrooms is beautiful, just understand that most do not.

Half of my master bedroom is now a lockpicking lab. Im sure my wife would be pleased if the entire bedroom could be pretty but I would also be pleased if she didn't use an entire spare bedroom as her fashion closet. If your wife is going to keep the whole house on lockdown for aesthetic purpose you tell her well this 2x4 area is mine.

My wife will stand beside me and help me harvest every last one of those "ugly bulk tubs". She has even helped me do sterile work, print labels and take pics when I ask her too. She has her space in the house and I have mine. I don't tell her what she is or isn't allowed to do in her space and she doesn't tell me what I can and cannot do in mine.
