Reishi, lions mane, cordyceps are known to benefit sleep. I don't think you'd want to take any psychedelic mushrooms they will keep you awake. Learn to sleep without drugs.

It's important to do what you can (change in lifestyle or diet etc) to have better quality sleep naturally.
With that being said, and if you don't mind sharing, what is the nature of your insomnia?
Without knowing why you're having trouble sleeping, its hard to recommend anything.

Yep that's the problem I had to change over to keto diet to reduce my joint pain and the diet does work but now I'm having trouble sleeping. I was taking that sleep aid crap but it makes me feel irritable.
Do I eat the lions main raw or make a tea with it?

I was recommended this product for sleep -- Reishi Elixir
A neighbor uses it, she swears by it, takes it 2-3/hrs before bed time

Update I've been taking the mushroom elixir for about 4 nights now and it does seem to help keep me asleep I dont seem to be waking up as much in the middle of the night. However it doesn't seem to help with getting to asleep but I'll still keep taking this product, I think it's very much worth it over the sleep aids.
Now I need to find somthing that helps with joint inflammation.
Any suggestions?

Stop eating gluten, dairy and stop smoking weed. If you do any of this anyway.

I dont eat any of that stuff. I'm on a high fat keto diet because of arthritis. I dont smoke cannabis, but thought about trying CBD. I also dont want any shrooms that make me high either.

Golden Teacher, I sleep like a baby! I started micro dosing and noticed I was really sleepy during the day. So I started micro dosing at night and sleep through the night!

Learn to sleep without drugs. That hits the nail on the head. Normally, we get it backwards, we learn to do drugs without sleep.
My dad says... the 'real' problem with drinking coffee, isn't the stimulation effect of the coffee, it's often magnesium deficiency. Your kidneys excrete magnesium in order to excrete caffeine. People that regularly drink a lot of coffee, progressively become more and more magnesium deficient. Magnesium deficiency causes insomnia. It also causes arrhythmia, angina, heart attack, stroke and death. (Often, in that order)
2 step solution: (1) Drink decaf coffee/tea (easier said than done) - or cut back. (2) Take magnesium tablets or drink magnesium citrate in water.
If you add magnesium citrate to coffee, it makes the coffee taste really smooth. Delish!
Google has more details on this. Or you could talk to my dad.

I'm beginning to sound like my dad. People on a keto diet (like my dad) often get leg cramps and have difficulty sleeping and/or staying asleep. Magnesium deficiency causes leg cramps and insomnia. Keto people have super low insulin levels, low insulin levels is a signal to your kidneys to excrete sodium (for some reason). This flushing of sodium, flushes magnesium too.
The solution is magnesium tablets or magnesium citrate powder. Search for keto and magnesium deficiency... google knows everything.
good luck with it

Hi Onset11, Two questions for you: (1) How much, in milligrams, is your typical micro-dose ? (2) How many minutes, or hours, do you take it before your bedtime ?
love and kisses

Cuz I'm sure noone thinks of this before having to turn to treatment. Ableism at it's best. Sometimes people have these things called disorders, and it's not a matter of "trying harder" or "learning." It's a matter of disability or disease. Do you tell people w cancer to learn to just "not have cancer." I heard you're gonna die one day, have you tried just not dying?

Not everyone is allergic to gluten, dairy isnt easy to defend but not everyone reacts poorly to it, cannabis helps tons of ppl including me to treat insomnia. What works for some may not work for all.

Ashtray your right, I assumed OP's question was asking about psilocybin mushrooms instead of regular ones. Didn't mean to sound like an asshole now I read it back I can see that it's my bad I should have thought before assuming. Your examples are abit extreme, come on nobody would say that to a person living with cancer 😕

My dose is really more that a micro these days, I started off with a half gram but now honestly now I just eat 1 small, half of a medium, and a quarter of a lg. but you have to find a comfortable level for yourself. I usually eat a dose right before I go to bed.
