I’m about a 1/3 of the way through A Crown of Swords, book 7 of Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time.

I just finished Crown of Swords and I’m about to start New Spring, the prologue book for Wheel of Time which is suggested to be read between books 7 and 8.
It’s pretty small so I hope to finish it tomorrow.

"My Name Is Tani . . . and I Believe in Miracles: The Amazing True Story of One Boy’s Journey from Refugee to Chess Champion"
It's pretty intense in the beginning. Starts off with the family living in Nigeria and they have to run away from the Boko Haram...

Onto Knife of Dreans (Book 11 of the Wheel of Time) now. Really enjoyed The Ocean at the End of the Lane, I think it's my favourite Neil Gaiman novel I've read so far, beautiful story

Good choice. I thought it was overpriced for the page length but read it twice. Imagination of Neil is amazing. Have read his comics as well.
Reading The Passage by Justin Cronin on a far different note. Just watched recently that Zombie movie on Netflix and now reading this which turns out to be just another Zombie book with a twist that they are going to make a t.v. series of I guess.
Had enough of it. Neil is awesome and what he puts out that isn't kids books I will read and have read. Coraline was amusing way back at the movies in 3'D and it was rated PG but my brother and his girlfriend and that tunnel and the button eyes, were really enjoying it.
I live in Utah Mormonville and some kids were freaked out by it around us which we laughed at. Parents that bring their kids to that with no idea who he is was amusing. Would scare the shit out of me of me if I was a kid to. But Neil isn't mean spirited, just a Brit and it isn't a movie about fart jokes and such.
Great movie. American Gods I read and watched the series, don't know if it will be renewed again, but entertaining. Getting swallowed by a vagina whole was disturbing reading it then seeing it on the television, yeah, well, is what it is.
Point being Neil gives a glimpse of eternity IMO in that book of what one would never think about being possible and kind of removes one from societal conditioning to, how the fuck did he come up with that?
One can get it to an extent but that is the wonder of life and progression. You never fully do. Glad you brought that book up. Tired of doom and gloom.

It is a rough read. It tones it down in the television series but shit. To me anyway, their is something innate that is really disturbing in it that he taps into. And not just writing about vagina part.
Not hyping it up just, it is not a shock value thing, but after reading it for a lot of reasons I am not going to go into, is just disturbing. Enjoy! Worth the read but once on that one is enough for me.
On with life.

It is not a shock. He just gets into some really weird eternal and ancient things and most are not good has a string of truth to it. Just how I took it. Reading to me is so much different in fiction as movies and series are fiction than the real thing. I can't watch the reality when it is real. Words written are much easier to process and understand.
On to finish this zombie novel. Think it is like the vampire era and now the zombie era is dying out on page and in film. Getting bored of it. Enjoy the book. No jump scares or shock value. Just an inate dread. Kind of his specialty.
So many things going on around one but one can't see are is in one's consciousness and awareness. The subconscious is interesting to explore but I think it is there for a reason when people are born and through life.
Through with zombie novels and I didn't even know it turned into one. Enjoy the Summer.
