Seems like they are still out there. Went to my previous spot and nothing was growing, so I checked the surrounding area. Found two different clusters.
The first cluster I know are ovoids, they have the smell and the bluing (They're on the right side of the napkin). Didn't expect them to just be where I was walking, almost stepped on them.
The second cluster looks different (much lighter with less waviness in the caps) , but they also have the same urine-like smell and some bluing. Have I found two different phenotypes? They're on the left side of the napkin.

So I listened to those who said that mud would flake right off after drying but now I have mushrooms that look like this...can't tell where the mud ends and mushroom begins

Maybe a brush or a dip or "dirt dont hurt"

Facts
Nothing much out there today besides a few sad looking aborts that had managed to fruit into some small gnarled mushrooms as well as some half-dead pinsets
Hopefully the rain we got will usher in new flushes rather than these same old dying pins

Same as Moria in my area though I really expected a new flush - not even pins though I’ll revisit in ~ a week G

Yeah don’t do this. Please was your mushrooms before eating unless you want giardiasis or any of the other parasites and diseases located on the forest floor.
You really don’t want to spend a week with liquid coming out your asshole because someone thinks it’s manly to eat a dirty mushroom. If you want to convince people you don’t have a small penis, buy a sports car.

Things were very dry before the rain, I do believe we'll get another flush though it might take time to make up for the slowed growth during the dry spell

Please stop with this crap. The lifespan of precolumbian Native Americans was about 35 years. Giardia is endemic in the ovoid habitat. All the feces of all the infected animals (and most of them are) washes down into the streams and when it floods, that washes all over the mushrooms and into the ground, where the parasite turns into a cyst just waiting to be activated in your duodenum and intestines:
