Damn hope she's clean..she just went up yesterday! Cleaning day just became a hassle tho!

Rgb? It's a 6500k 50ft rope led. Not sure about the lumen output, but shrooms seem happy so far.

Nice porcupine taku! Lion's Mane is has always been consistently high on my list of favorites.

Thank you! I rocked a cheap Amazon greenhouse for almost a year, figured when it was time to upgrade, mind as well do it right! Although the plan was an 8x8, they were out of stock. So 4'x8'x8' it was.  Ducting is just 4" pvc.

Can't wait to be eating some lion's mane again, it's been a couple months!

Do you ziptie twice? Looking at those bags, would think there's no room for a filter if you ziptied there from the get go. I usually cut and fold my bags once colonized, but maybe you cut the first ziptie and reziptie as close to sub as possible? Giving me ideas...

Hummus have you fruitedmaitaki?

Harry, if your LM pins on top do you still side fruit it? Or do you pick the pins off? I want to start side fruiting but this culture I have, I think I nearly isolated some strain that pins super early idk. I thought it could be a good thing on agar but in the bags it almost cause problems. I get pins at 60% or less colonization at times and makes keeping pins away before intentionally  fruiting the bag nearly impossible in some cases haha. And if I want to use the sawdust as spawn it becomes a problem as well.

Lol,I think you're more so giving yourself those ideas. I merely just bit on ShroomsISay's technique. Ziptie the top above the filter after inoculation. Then after colonization simply twisting all the air out and replacing the same ziptie as close to the substrate as possible. Yes, the filter sometimes gets wrapped up in the twist, but usually this isn't a problem.

I vary with that debacle myself. Sometimes I'll top fruit a first flush if there's a nice pinset or a couple big honkers in there. Other than that I'll side fruit.

Nope this is my first go at Maitake. I pick wild maitake every year, they are very popular around here so Id like to nail the grow down and start selling them at the farmers market.

Lol deadmandave.  I like the little duplo house.

Do you all move your bags up as they progress, or let them sit and load new ones where you just took from? I move my bags in sequence, and have no idea why. I constantly find myself doing stupid stuff like that though So i am hardly surprised.
