Help with shoebox!
    #27316040 - 05/20/21 08:48 AM (3 years, 7 months ago)

Soo as u may see in the images, yes i was dumb and decided to use coco husk instead waiting patiently for my coir to come in the mail, i really want this shoebox to work and im getting some pretty large fruits on only one side of the shoebox and it appears to me this is gonna be quite an uneven flush, i dont know how well husk retains moisture compared to coir and i was wondering if i should add some sort of automated humidifier (i.e small container of water with air bubbling into it) im also considering removing the casing layer because im noticing the mycelium has a hard time colonizing it and i wanna lower the risk of contams as much as possible, but if thats a dumb idea let me know cus im not really too sure with this husk stuff.

Also the flipped lid is putting pressure on biggest fruit and idk if thats going to stunt its growth or not
Anywayy like i said if anyone has any ideas on what i can do to improve this shoebox holla asap

Also theres no contams atm thankfully

I don't have any experience with husk like that but they are looking kinda dry. Shoeboxes get enough FAE through the gap in the lid, you got a bunch of holes in that bad boy so that could be drying it out. If you want to add moisture just mist, setting up a humidifier might be more trouble than it's worth.

In any case at least you got a couple beauts there
