I'm in the process of designing a flow hood with parts i have in stock. Only the Hepa and pre-filters are bought (ordered ETA in 6 weeks) Designed and rendered in Fusion360

LFH in a virtual version of my workspace.

just a petri render :-)

great renders you are very talented.
I'm not a big fan of that orientation of the blower blowing down right over the filter like that. On a wide filter like this you will find the airflow in the middle under the filter is much faster. It would be better to orient to blower blowing against the back wall, that way only pressurized air comes into contact with the filter and not the direct blast from the blower. Allow me to show you MY rendering skills slick. Step aside and behold.

i did that before and found the baffle also caused a pressure difference at the filter. But i was just using a piece if thin bendy board with no holes maybe you could design a better baffle? Even 2x4 supports that were 3" from the filter in the plenum could be detected with a hot wire anemometer.

Both my flow hood cabinets are 24" deep. That gives me 18 inches behind my hepa for the plenum. My blower box is 17"x17"x17
I have the same blower for my 24"x24" and my 24"x36"

If your hepa is 24"x48" you would need a bigger blower.
You did a nice job on your render. It looks like a nice piece of furniture..
I don't know If you considered that blowers usually have the motor on one side of the blower.

Sandman420: thank you for the advise. i need to think deep and see if i can come up with a solution. its sad i am not proficient enough with CAD to do some Fluid dynamics simulations.
Micelio: Thank you for the compliment, i like it when things are "cheap/diy" to build but The hood has small 12x24 filter size and a suiting blower from a HVAC/airco. the fan has the motor in the center and has intakes on both sides

I got It now..
I wasn't sure what the size of the filter was...
Hey..! that's the way to go, cheap..
If the blower Is opened on both sides, It draws air over the blower motor for cooling In some cases.
