Best outdoor patch subs and procedures?

Looking to start several outdoor patches.
I'm in the UK - cubes don't grow in the wild but I've seen it be done so I want to give it a go. Wavy Caps grow here so I'll try them too.
Coir verm and hpoo for cubes or straw and hpoo?
And for the wavy caps alder chips or what? I read something about soaking chips and also having some slightly decayed chips?
TLDR:
Best substrates for cubes and wavy caps? Do I need to soak anything and pasteurise or not?

Coir and verm work just fine for cubes Even straight coir Straw and hpoo also great If you plan on doing it all outdoors you don't even have to pasteurize however it is recommended
Wavy caps P.cyanescens again the same... Wood chips can be soaked in water for anything from a week to a month//pasteurize before adding your spawn Best of luck

He didn't ask for a science paper he just wants the knowledge of making plastic tubs grow pounds of shrooms, explain it to him like normal people in two short sentences and stop wasting his time jk

O.k So after looking at OPs post last night which had at the time I think around 30-40 views with no replies... I decide to help by giving to the best of my abilities answers to his questions
Mateja I'm sorry I don't have a "god" like presence or a "ability" to answer questions in two sentences like yourself...
I am after all a mere mortal And do make mistakes all the time (Unlike yourself it would seem)
Moderators Please.... If you feel I havnt answered like a "normal person" and wasted OPs time Remove my post and I'll apologize in full

my first experience with shroom cultivation went like this: 1) friend found a big fruit in a pasture and made a print 2) we split it and scraped it onto the ground around our backyards 3) shrooms
at the time i had no idea how unlikely that was. never was able to make it work again. useless answer but a fun story.
there are a lot of cool outdoor ideas on this site but my favorite was someone wondering what would happen if you made gallons of LC and spread it around with one of those backpack pesticide sprayers. idk if he tried it. let us know what you do and how it goes!

Alder alder alder! Most hardwoods will do though. This year I did a mix of hardwoods such as Apple, Maple, Hickory, Alder and Cherry. I tried also seeing if the different woods had any differences in colonization speed but I couldn't really tell.
I did not pasteurize my chips, just a 24h soak. Some like to do a little bit of bleach per gallon, but I personally did not. Maybe not wise, but going from grain to wood I didn't do any sterilization or pasteurization, but that may not be the best thing. Regardless it seems as if wood lovers have a better shot at fighting contam, I ran into very little issues with wood contamination and the contam I did have, was easily removed by hand and it never came back. The mushrooms are going outside so I think they are more apt to surviving in the wild.
Mix in a little soil too, helps retain moisture. Everything you do inside can be straight wood. Don't bother with trying agar->wood cus it takes forever, but it can be done, as in nature. Grains expedite the growth by a big amount in my experience.
Been doing my outdoor cyans for 3 years and they have been easy to work with and maintain. The only custom thing I've done is set up a mister that run during fruiting to stave off dry weather that can ruin a pinset.
-------------------- Woodlover lover!
I am open to questions about wood lovers, I don't know everything, but if you like my posts and have a question, feel free to ask in a PM
I do a lot of indoor experiments. I, one day, WILL figure out a surefire method for indoor woodlovers. Nothing is impossible.
