Cubensis potency factors/issues 1

Greetings!
This is my first post here so I hope I didn't fudge it up!
After a few failed attempts, I finally reached the finish line with my cubensis B++ syringe. I'm fairly happy with results, but I do notice the potency seems to be rather weak than previous experiences purchasing mushrooms.
I was curious what factors contribute to potency and how I can dial that in?
Basically I followed some procedures from a video, GordoTek. I went from syringe spores bought online> agar > white millet > coco coir > dehydrator cracker crisp. Some vermiculite and gypsum were added as well to the substrate at a couple stages. Everything seemed to work and go as planned, but it seems the potency is lacking and I'm curious why that could be?
Is it known spores over the internet are kinda weak or maybe the B++ strain is a little weaker than GT or maybe jsut the luck of the draw? Should I have went with rye or something other than white millet? Did I potentially over-dry the mushrooms toward the end?
Also in one tote, I was a little late to the harvest and some mushrooms did dump spores before I got to them. I'm curious if that also plays into potency besides hindering a next flush.
It seemed that temps and moisture content were good to go as far as I could tell. The mushrooms were a bit smaller than I expected but otherwsie look happy and healthy without contamination ( this time).
Any thoughts and ideas are welcome, and I thank you all for your input!
Much love, folks!

There is much speculation and theory as well as first hand accounts of what ups the potency, or if anything actually does.
Psilocybin is quite stable but is a pro-drug. Psilocin is the metabolized, non-phosphated compound that passes the blood/brain barrier and fux you up. It's quite fragile.
So first off there is a handful of things like; blood alcohol level, speed of metabolism, prescription substances, etc.. that will mess with its effects on you. Because of this we have no way to accurately portray the strength even if we were to develop a way to measure the level of actives at any given point.
As far as theory, some people say that a "cold snap" (like with citrus) makes the fruit more potent. Some will say it's extended colonization time. Some will swear that it's all genetics or even luck of the draw. A few will say it's growing conditions.
As far as i know there is no universally accepted theory on what, if anything, makes fruits more "potent."
Good first post, and welcome home

That`s a subjective topic.
So it all starts with genetics, they determine potential. Now it`s up to your environment to meet the requirements to get the max out of it. Never experienced different potency when comparing strains, besides pe. I don`t think you overdried in a dehydrator. I once let mine run accidently for 6 hours more than usual, and went eight miles high. Strain isolation may help, but i prefer clones over isolates.
