I dont think so, because the difficulty is dynamic and adjusts. Even though the difficulty has historically gone up, it can (and has) go down if miners pull out. It self regulates like that.
So the cost of manufacturing the Bitcoin fluctuates for a variety of reasons?
The cost of mining depends on hardware and electricity costs that we understnd well. The return from mining, how much bitcoin you get from X amount of computing is variable. The protocal looks at the total mining power and adjusts the difficulty such that a block is found every 10 mins on average. If more people mine, blocks will be found more quickly and the difficulty goes up. If less people mine, the blocks will be found less quickly and the difficultly goes down. It adjusts after every block to maintain that 1 find per 10 mins average.

Investing in cryptos is like investing in a hot stock. Ypu know the price isn't based on the performance of the underlying company. It's a bubble and it will burst at some point. Time it right and you get rich,.Quote:

In fact, the price of goods on the dark markets stay stable from a dollar perspective. From the perspective of the crypto, there is runaway inflation where months ago it only cost 40 monero to buy something that now costs 140.
Uhhh, you got that the wrong way around. Bitcoin is appreciating. That means it takes less bitcoin to buy the same dollar amount on the market. This is the opposite of inflation.
Yeah that's why I removed it from my post. The problem with this deflation is that prices in the crypto based markets are pegged to the dollar or other real currencies. Nobody wants to create value in that situation because everything that isn't pegged to the crypto is constantly losing value. The only wise move is to horde the crypto.

I heard bitcoin could go to $40k by the end of next year, or even $110k

BTC is a good investment. It went from a few hundred 3 years ago when I first started touting it on here to over 4k today. It recently slid back on price making it a bargain right now. I'm trying to make some deals to buy more but the stupid storm is messing things up.
Those who bought today at abot 4200 will be all smiles in a year. I would not be surprised if it was over 10k in a year. Don't invest more than you can afford to be out for lets say a year to be safe. Don't invest the rent money thinking it will double by next month.
You want your day to day money on hand and you want an emergency fund in case things come up like car problems, illness and so on. The money besides emergency funds can be invested. Buying a house is a good investment usually. Bitcoin is a good investment. Buy a coin today and leave it to your kids. It may be worth a million time they get it.

i dont understand the stock market or cryptocurrencies. Both have absolutely ruined my financial savings haha. not everyone gets out ahead but if i would have stayed in, would be significantly wealther than i currently am. FWIW ive lost way more in the stock market than in cryptos, and cryptos was my own fault, where the stock market was shady companies lying to their investors.
I think the real detterent to get in at this point for most people is that $4500 or whatever for one coin, like fuck you know how much silver one could buy with that.

What you just said sounds like normal currency too ?
Crypto currency is good idea, I dont like how banks are the dirty middle men. I think its the last thing banks and government want though thats why it hasnt progressed much.
Check how the South African Rand dropped when our old president fired our minister of finance and several other cabinet members in a secret meeting overnight lol, "Runs to Crypto"

What site would you recommend I gamble my spare btc?

Oh boy, thanks for mentioning crypto gambling.
I found cryptogames.io and there's a hi-Lo dice game. I started with .68 LTC and I'm up to 1.04 now. I have it set on auto roll, with a bet of .00002 LTC, win chance of 50% with a win amount of x1.98. I've got a loss multiplier of x3, so when I lose it triples my bet, Over 2000 rolls now and I've seen nothing but gains. I just sent my dad 1 LTC and set him up. We've got two devices making us LTC now, just sitting here.
Update. Up to 1.112 LTC. I've modified my bet to only 2x on loss. It would take more than 10 loses in a row to lose everything. At a 50% chance, I'll take those odds. Toss a coin and see how many times you get heads or tails 10 times in a row.
Dads up to 1.24 LTC!
