I use sawdust without supplement, just a good amount of rye during inoculation. The substrate was: 800g rye (cooked) + 1,5kg hardwood pellets + 45g CaSO4 + 15g CaCO3 + 2,25L water

Piopino test of ms culture. I take a few clones and make prints. This is a small 6L. I want to try as many edible species as possible in EZ tub. To be continued...

Cool pioppinos! Fun to see more edibles grown in tubs. Oysters are the only edible I’ve tried in tubs so far and they were happy.

Picture of the laetiporus I found yesterday, first one I’ve ever foraged.
Interesting growth on these wild reishi clones. One that I believe to be polychromum is quickly putting out lots of pores. And the other, that I also thought was polychromum, is growing very different. Almost appears to be antlering, but these bags are only a month old so a bit early to tell.
Apologies for the horrible photos, I think I overhydrated the sawdust and it made a mess along the bag. All the bags I set this say have mycelium all along the walls of the bags. My cotw block is literally entirely colonized to the top of the bag lol

Yes indeed. I like the big pin sets as well, harvest early and the fruits stay fresh for a couple weeks.
I'm gonna try a lm culture from mcs as well. This culture from field and forest does the weirdest shit even tho the fruits look nice.

It really is a great culture, produces excellent fruits. On agar mine smells like sulfur it also turns the agar a dark brown color. Probably contaminated with something but I've not been able to correct it.

Thanks for sharing, that is pretty strange. Went and checked the plate I just transferred from and couldn’t smell anything. Even when I smell the grain jars I can smell the grains more than the mushroom with lion’s mane.

Nameko from a spores print. I'm going to clone a few and test them in Ez dialed tub.

This Reishi (6L dubtubed) stop growing but I can't cut them for harvest. I'm going to let them dry on the substrate, I find them pretty as decoration:

Thanks you. When I type "mycoflorist" into Google, I don't find anything artistic. Do you have a link?

Recently I've been making a lot of spore prints of different edibles. One of my cordyceps cultures on agar was contaminated with a very vigorous mycelium that I tried to fruit in a small container to see if it was one of the mushrooms I made prints of. I discovered that it was P.eryngii which I cloned and then sent in a 32L EZ dialed tub:

Pleurotus eryngii update in 32L tub EZ dial :
I don't think they look very good and I have a few aborted ones. Do you think it is linked to genetics (ms), the substrate (1.2kg of 60% hydrated sawdust + 400g rye) or the growing conditions? I cloned a store-bought mushroom to see if it works better next time. Thank you for your opinions.

Looks like they need more air. Kings are co2 tolerant but those are hitting their limit.
