Yea I tried the 10lb blocks and I just didn't like them. My flow hood isnt tall enough for them, my shelves aren't spaced wide enough for them, and I absolutely hate shaking those big heavy bastards

Oh I feel that. I've been using a spoodle when spawning so that's helped a bit. And I had to replace all my shelves in the colonizing room. I side fruit tho so that's what saved me over there. And I've found I can kinda roll them around on the table and it's not so bad. My flow space is like 2tallby3wide tho.
I noticed you top fruit everything about it seems? Any advantages there over side fruiting by chance?

The little bag of pinks was a grow kit gifted from farm3r. I should've tried fruiting it on my kitchen counter but I cheated and used the grow room

Nice. Love the little pom poms. I think you'll get better results if you just slice the bag rather than take the top off.

Thanks. Yea. After seeing what Stromrider does, flipping the bag and slitting the bottom, that is what I started doing. Hopefully with enough experience and ideas from other cultivators in here, I can learn how to get the most out of each block.

Every time I make LM which is a lot. I just stab the bag, cut little windows, X's. I really just like a tiny tiny opening and let it push out. About to mess with this guy if it printed. (have 2 diff wild guys)

Oystah bed appreciated me being away, asshole. Guess I'll check in the morning if anything got them before me.

Yeah I would. It would do better in a sterilized sub because all those little fruiting bodies have a chance to go sour but either way it's probably good to go.

My FC has been quite warm lately, but so has the outside temps. Today was cooler but my FC was still cooking. Found out why...

My exhaust fan somehow broke it's fins and stopped working. My bags have just been sitting in the heat and no fae for a day or two.

Buy a backup everything. I learned this very early on. Especially important as you start growing more and more. It's a very expensive endeavor but will pay off in the long run for sure

The Hens are steadily growing. Some nice frond formation has begun, made it to the final phase! Would def grow these again, the flavor of cultivated maitake is out of this world. Also, wild maitake is one of the hardest mushrooms to clean bc of how intricate the fruiting body is. This makes everything much easier.. sorry for all the maitake updates but I dont have anything else going right now. The Hen bags have all my shelves occupied so its all I have to share!
