I'm the laziest mofo you can meet. Bury a block as far into the earth as I can manage (maybe 3-4 inches cuz I got pure clay). Sprinkle Scott's TM naturscapes woodchips all over. Cover with hay. Hose down daily for a few weeks, start watering alternating days, and pray for rain and temperatures to cool.
Shiitake behind refuses to flush again and lions mane is done for the season too. Forget where my enokis are...Wine caps haven't done anything ever and it's been a year.

They look perfect. I have some 8801 that will be fruiting next week, I hope it looks half as good.

I never thought about flipping the bags over and fruiting them like that. I think I may borrow that concept. What range do you keep your rh?

I fruit them like that to maximize my available space. They do well and present really nice. Look like a flower bouquet.
Humidity swings between 75 and 85
This stain is unbelievable. 10 days to colonize and 8 days to fruit. Yeilding really close to 1.5 lb clusters off 5lb blocks

Damn. That is very impressive. I hope I can get there one day. My humidity stays within that range also. Good to know that my rh is in a good range.
I have about 8 bags of wild oyster pinning. I also have a block of LM fruiting and around 96 blocks of king oyster fruiting also. Here is a pic of one of my wild oyster blocks. I cloned a local specimen back in March. It isn't much yet but things are moving along nicely and hopefully all of my hard work will start to pay off.

I accidentally "knee'd" one of my maitake blocks fairly hard last night and one of my stems broke! I was forced to fry it up for dinner. Im finding it weird that some bags have these tall stalks growing while some have low bushy brains growing. The low brain is how I always find them in the wild so no idea why the others are climbing theyve all been under the same conditions. Either way, tasted my first homegrown maitake and it was the absolute best damn mush I have ever eaten. So much of the flavor is preserved when they arent sitting in the wild. Sorry for the long post this mush gets me very excited haha

Ive narrowed it down to just blue oyster, lions mane, black pearl oyster, and pioppino. I used to try to juggle more but I'm just trying to be as efficient as possible with my space now. I Quote:

Sendmehummus nice work on the maitake. I've still never grown it. I've found plenty in the wild and it's definitely at the top of my list. So tasty

Are all those compatible in same FC? I got wild and bought up a bunch of strains, but growing each is not as easy as the blue or lm.
