Nice! It's such a good mushroom.. tasty, fast growing, easy to harvest. I imagine you're using masters mix with it but by the looks it grows just as well on sawdust+bran.
I'm curious what your spawn rate is and how long from inoculation to harvest.

That's masters mix. The bags sit til they pin on top which usually take 3 weeks. Using about 5 lbs of spawn to around 20 5lb blocks

Maitake Update!

My bags are doing wonderfully, the early fruits are starting to form on the edges. Ive kept all 16 bags in a 60-70 temp range. Not the best pic but its hard to get a good pic of whats going on inside. Its always exciting trying a new grow. I love oysters but growing maitake saves me the heartbreak of going to my wild spots in the fall and discovering the maitake there decided to skip a year 😆.

"Life. Will find a way". Thats great, I love pics of neglected shrooms. I once filled grocery bags with hwfp, spawn, tied them shut and hung them on a clothes hanger in a closet. COMPLETELY forgot abiut them and a few months later I found this lol.

Checked a tree that I know of near me which I cloned a ganoderma Tsugae pin from, earlier in the year.

There were several antlers and this one conk that was caked so thick with spores it looked like clay. Just look at the comparison! I took a few swabs from the top, and will print Both of these.

Struggling to fruit these wild oysters. Unfortunately I don't have room to set up a greenhouse tent for them, and my apartment doesn't seem to be humid enough.
