Nice! Try putting the tub on it's side after colonization next time for fun and you'll get more natural conk shaped fruits:

Got my best results yet from oyster mushroom with sporeless strain. Soo much easier to not have to worry about spores since I'm growing in a small apartment. Straw pellets with lime water in vacuum bags. I had it pin in the tent and let them grow for a day then just open in up completely and let it do it's thing.

Got some store cloned shiitake pinning right now. Oak pellets with 20% wheat bran.

And last king oyster in vacuum bags. Steam pasteurized straw pellets with 20% alfalfa and 5% gypsum. Cut holes and packed with some coir. Just experimenting with this one. Mainly wanted to see if I could get away with just pasteurizing alfalfa.

Overview of my setup. Use holes on the side to adjust FAE. Humidity controller 72%-87% on the humidifier. The fan goes for 15 min every 45 min. Mainly to help condensation on the floor and the towel. Got waterproof floor but don't want it pooling. Also help to pull humidity down for the shiitake and provides new air.

So much fun when things are working!

White oyster (P. ostreatus) growing on 100% corncob pellets + 10% calcium carbonate by weight. Inoculated with 1 qt millet, fruited in an old SAB with perlite on the bottom.
This is a clone culture. I have another 5lb bag inoculated the same way at the same time, but with 100% alder sawdust pellet, and it hasn't even pinned yet.

I mixed up my second set of mushroom blocks last night. Blue oysters are fast!! They were done before I was ready! The broke up easily enough though. And wow!! The smell is great!

I've grown plenty of cubes & one batch of shiitakes. But finally trying out lion's mane. Left the block in the bag a week too long & have these odd "trunks" of mycelium with the puff balls sprouting from that.
Are these ready to cultivate?

They are ready to harvest. They're doing weird because that need more fresh air. If you're used to cubensis it can be a shock how much fresh air some gourmet mushrooms require. Especially oysters and lions mane

Nobody saw anything...
Jk but here's a gross story from my first job at Quiznos. A coworker had just finished slicing about five lbs of prime rib when he dropped the whole bin of meat on the floor. Instead of telling a manager and risking a taking to, he put it all back in the cambro and pretended nothing happened. Mmmm mmm mmm mmmmm mmm toasty.
