I'm starting to get better results from the blue oysters in my tent.

It's in a tent, but not with actives, just other gourmets. I've got branched oyster, blue oyster, lion's mane and king oysters. The LM and kings have been growing well for a while now, but I'd been having trouble with the branched and blue oysters. Increased airflow and a new humidifier with a 4inch duct to bring it in seem to be doing the trick. I think I had dry pockets. I'm still working on dialing it in. I've only been running it for a few months.

Ah okay, was wondering if you had found a sweet spot that would support both. Thank you for the info on tweaking it. Once this blizzard passes I’ll be remodeling a small shed to turn into a fruiting room. Every little bit of info will hopefully help speed up the dialing in process once it’s up and running.

Are you separating out the oysters from other gourmets? Seems like that would be a solid plan for myself in the future. Smaller area that needs frequent cleaning and only one tent that requires a respirator.

My other gourmets aren't in rotation currently, just shelves of tubs. I have 2 3x3 tents and I can't juggle buds in the same space, I need to grow moar mush. If I pick up pace then I could transition the whole room to be oysters got like 20'x30' so I can go all out with the space.
I can crank out like 30 bags a run and if I am diligent I could probably do 2 runs a day.

20' X 30'
You could pump 300lbs a week out of that much grow space

That's the goal. If I crush masters mix twice a day most everyday and use the AA75X for grain prep I can hit the mark while keeping up appearances. A couple months like that and I could secure a small farm more suitable for everything.

we all work for the mush. 20’x30’ sounds like a hell of a lot of room for bags. Is there a general lb or block/sqft estimate?
If you don’t mind sharing, what are you using to crank out blocks? I’ve only got a 25x so I’ve been trying to fine tune pasteurizing straw to get ~20 bags a week to start up. Can run 4 supplemented bags and 4 straw bags at the same time with just a 25x and a single 5 gallon water cooler.

The one thing I've changed that I think has made the biggest difference is my humidifier. I started out with a 1.5gal reptile fogger. This had a 1/2in hose that I piped into the top of the tent. I've since upgraded to a 5gal bucket with 3 disk pond fogger, 120mm adjustable PC fan and 4in ducting. The larger rez means I can go longer between refills, about two days. I run the PC fan, which is attached to the bucket's lid 24/7. It's running at it's lowest setting, providing just enough positive pressure to push the mist into the tent, not blowing it in. The fogger is on a humidity controller set to 90%. I suck fresh air into the top of the tent and only passive exhaust. The flap on my tent is only half zipped. I keep higher CO2 friendly mushrooms, king oysters, on the bottom shelf. It seems to be working out well so far.

I got a SH 150L autoclave. It requires minimal babysitting so I can do other work during the run. I got a whole list of things to do in order to expand and simplify. If I can renovate this barn then I can switch to large steamers for blocks. The 150L is really for grain. One bag of wheat noccs 12 pretty agressive bags easy. It would be nice to run a big ol steamer once a day loading bags with a hopper and tumbling with a machine. Do like 100+ bags at once, 5 days a week, and one clave full of wheat each day for spawn.
If I can start the farm big then I can get bigger farm mortgage to really go biggest, right?

Hell yeah man that’s a solid outlook. Going to look into one of the 150L autoclaves. That sounds much more convenient than my volatile ass 25x

Bags on the mantel are king oysters on coir Each has 2qts of spawn.
From left to right: 1:4,1:3,1:1,1:1
Some bacterial ass golden oyster spawn got mixed with 5qts of coir in the hanging bag. Had a 4qt bag that didn't look real hot, broke it up best I could and used about 2qts out it for the spawn
Made a little sandwich bag as well with the golds, 1:1 pint of spawn and point of coir
