Log inoculated with plugs looking good I'm assuming. Been kept in my basement and hydrated after it dries out.
LM on 2nd flush and a softwood local mulch deciding to fruit Kings after 3-4 months.
Buncha KO bags are pinning super early. This is a new culture from a trade.

You definitely don't wanna wait till reishi varnishes over to try and clone, gotta get the white edge while it's still growing.

Fuck it decided to top fruit these kings. Tons of blocks, I've never felt comfortable with kings. At like 95% colonization. Wonder if I'll get a 2nd flush or green wins.

I find Kings to be one of the easiest! Once a bag is fully colonized I move them to my grow room(not the grow tent) and leave them in the cooler temps, still all sealed up ,until they covered with pins on the top. Throw them in the tent to finish top fruiting and Viola! I've never earnestly tried for a second fruiting on these. First flush is usually rather productive (1.5-3lbs) and for the time/space it's not worth, for me at least, to leave the bags to try and re-pin.

Aborted last year as I opened the bags up. Then again my tent wasn't dialed in, tent 3.0 is the ticket.

Dag nabbit!! That's twice in two days. FFS.
Sorry gourmet friends. So is this a thread for my reishi cult pics? I think of it only as medicinal and not gourmet as in the implication of "on the dinner menu."

If you plate reishi all artsy it becomes edible too. (don't forget the butter and garlic, JK) Still "gourmet" to me. Right we were talking about APES.
