2nd flush concerns.

Hey, so I recently took a trip after I harvested my first flush. I put my bins in the fridge. Upon prepping for flush number 2, I noticed a ton of tiny pins with fuzziness on them. Just as well. I have stumps and areas of mycelium covered in spores from the first flush. Is there any way to optimize this flush going forward? My surface just looks like crazy compared to flush 1.

Put it back into fruiting conditions.
Pour some clean water in between the sub and tub. Float the sub even. For like 12hrs, then drain.
Mist from way above the tub, so the droplets fall gently on the sub so as not to break their water tension. That way they stay droplets. Puddles are no fucking good.

Dnt worry about all the nonsense on the top. I've never seen fungus pin from a divit (spot of removed substrate) or a stump, but it will pin through damn near everthing else.

I wouldn’t put any substrate in the fridge in my opinion. My best results after a pretty big first or second flush is like what Fae said an just soak the thing.

I usually fill the tub up and put a clean cutting board on it and then a big salad bowl filled with water on to the cutting board to submerge the substrate.

I usually only leave my sub in for maybe an hour or two max but I haven’t had any contams after that. Some people will have better information but for a simple dude this has worked for me. Just make sure to fan it pretty good to get that water to start evaporating out. I also sometimes poke a nail though the very bottom of my mono tub to drain any sitting water under the liner  works ok for me.

Also don’t take my advice as gospel because I still have much to learn but it’s something you could try. Some people say not to submerge the surface so I would look into more reports on which would work better for your grow.

Good luck buddy
