Dunk mid flush?

Anyone ever tried dunking mid-flush? I know it's less than ideal since water on the subs surface can stall fruits, but what if one managed to only get water on the sides, where there are no pins/fruits? I've got a tub that's putting out small fruits due to low moisture content. I'm wondering if I do this, if I can increase the "mature size" of the pins and young fruits. Again, I'm aware this is not proper procedure and the thought of it may even make some of you cringe. But could it work? Thanks!

Many people do exactly this, called bottom watering. But just for support, as you get some full canopies. How´s your surface looking? How`s substrate prepared? Field capacity? Always important to be mentioned. And yeah...a picture always helps

Oh this is proper procedure my friend. And the Goat is right, it's called bottom watering, and can be a huge benefit when used properly.
Only cringe if not listening to the sub.

Awesome! I will begin bottom watering. It's this tub again. It had bruising problems due to drying out (about 10 days ago, made a post about that too) and I got rid of the bruising by heavily misting, but that lead to the water logged pins, as we discussed last night. I've already had three veils break so I cut those guys out. Almost certain their small size isn't due to the water logging because two of the mature ones I picked were not water logged at any point and their caps were perfectly symmetrical and even-toned. They're in the dehydrator now but they're not a whole lot bigger than the biggest ones u see growing in the pics below. I'm thinking if it got dry enough for the sub to bruise, then my misting probably wasn't enough to fully rehydrate the sub. Plus the surface looks pretty dry in the corners/edges, it's hard to tell from the pics tho, flash makes the surface look moist. I'm thinking I was below field capacity as well when prepping the sub. A bit of a failure this tub was, but I'm not mad as I've got plenty of other tubs that are doing great. On the bright side, they look like they're going to be potent. Check out that bruising.
