Flow Hood question

I'd like to purchase a flow hood that works well under $600 without having to do anything.
I'm considering building Bodhi's https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/25090168/fpart/all/vc/1
...I just don't have much time between work and school, and I'm taking on enough information/projects as is being a mycology noob, so I figured if anyone had any recommendations, that would be appreciated!
I was looking at this : https://www.midwestgrowkits.com/bonsai-99-99-hepa-horizontal-laminar-flow-hood.aspx
But it looks like it could be too small
Sorry if this has been asked a bunch before. Either way, an up to date opinion is always nice

i've heard you can use FFUs with success as well. i know nothing about the specifics on those except that they are supposed to be cheaper than a flow hood. i've been considering upgrading from my SAB lately & was thinking of getting an FFU or flowhood if i could find a good price, so i guess i'm just commenting on this to also get some info lol

its so tiny
I guess you could pour a few plates and work on 'em with some skill. Or you could do no pours and that would be enough size to work on plates.
But not big enuf for g2g or bags with confidence.
It's just a 12x12 flowhood that you could probably throw together for much cheaper.

That one is definitely going to be way too small. I'd give it a week before you want a bigger one.
What's making you want to migrate from a hood from a SAB? That could answer a lot about the size you need

not the OP but also am curious in an answer...
my SAB is only like 50qt & i realized recently a lot of people are using much larger SABs. it's been serviceable, but it's kinda annoying to work in because of the height & depth of the tub. i have relatively small arm holes too, but i feel like going as big as others do would be contam city. i'd like to be able to work without bumping the SAB as much or having to hunch over weirdly. initially i was just gonna make a 100qt+ SAB & call it good, but someone mentioned FFUs being a decent alternative to a flowhood... i'm down to DIY it if it can stay under $250 but it would also be nice to just order one if they aren't too expensive. i'd also love to try working with bags, which i hear is a bitch in an SAB. if i'm gonna have to use a huge ass tote for an SAB i feel like my space will be better utilized by a hood/FFU for the same or less space a tub would take up, especially an FFU which is pretty thin compared to a hood. i feel it would make sterile technique more consistent for me as well
