Mushrooms in flowerbed
    #27306837 - 05/13/21 09:31 AM (3 years, 8 months ago)

So last fall, I had some grain jars that went bad, and I decided to throw them into my flowerbed. This was after it had gotten cold for the year already. Last week I noticed a number of clusters of half dried mushies in the same general.

My problem is the jars I tossed were of a strain I never got around to actually growing. The mushrooms that grew certainly look like cubes but is there any way other than bruising to be certain? I've found wild mushrooms in that area in the past and would hate to accidentally eat something I shouldn't.

Sorry if this has been asked recently. I tried looking for this info and I mostly found people talking about how its possible.

That is the sub-forum that would be best for this post.

Most important would be photos of the mushrooms, include a ruler for size reference as well as a clear photo of the underside, gills, veil, etc.

Sorry. I wasnt sure where to post it. These mushrooms were started indoors. They definitely arent native to where I'm from since nothing grows here.

I took these pictures of them. Unfortunately I'm seeing my camera really sucks.

Are some of them drying black on the ground?

No. They're all a light brown color. It must be how the shadow is in that picture or some of the soil still attached that your seeing.

Those are some sort of inky caps. They literally grow everywhere that humans live
