Who here deer hunts? Where ya from and what firearm/bow do you use?
I'm from Ohio. Our archery season starts at the end of September im using and old Parker compound 40lb draw weight with 100gr fixed tri-blades
For gun season this year I bought a Ruger 77 bolt action chambered in 44mag loaded with 240gr hollow points.

I used longbow or crossbows, whatever I'm in the mood for. Been a few years since I've gone though. Traveled to OH to hunt a few times, public land was pretty over run

I deer hunt central Florida. I own a 4 acre camp. I use my Barnett crossbow during archery and muzzleloader season, and a 30.06 during rifle season. I hunt for meat, not trophies and already have a doe in the freezer this year. I process my own deer, have a grinder, make sausage, jerky, etc.

Right here in good ol South Carolina! I live on a nice 15 acre tract our friends like to call my compound, hah. Had good activity first of the season, starts 8/15 for us but bucks only until 9/15. Acorns started dropping and the bucks disappeared. Doe season opened up and the neighbors have wiped em out. It’s rather annoying, but it’s not worth getting worked up about, I’ve got clubs I can go run dogs on and kill a few. I’ve been using my 30-30 since I was about 15 but I just picked up an old Remington semiauto .270. Shotguns are the mossberg 500 and 935 magnum.

30-30 is a hell of a deer rifle. I have to use a straight wall cartridge in Ohio though so I use a 44mag

I still hunt blacktail deer with a .30-06. Just me by myself slowly making my way through the cascades.

Weird ass no-neck laws did give us shotguns like the savage 220. Always fun to watch the industry cook up a workaround.

Same over here in the west cascades. I've never taken a shot at a deer over 60 yards.
