What your workspace looks like

I live in this 19th century house that has this small basement where they used to store the coals that I turned in to my small sterile working space.
Hatch to the basement:

Enterance to the workingspace that is "sealed" with plastic sheets (basement=contamcity)

Small section where I put on some clean clothes, hairnet, mouthmask and rub my hands and arms with alcohol

Actual workingspace:

It is by far the weirdest spot in the house. Since the hatch is normally closed nobody really ever sees it, so I got kinda (weird) creative, adding posters and old paintings I made in highschool. Although it might not look like the most sterile place one could think of, it works like a charm. When I plan on working I run the flowhood for about 20 min with the hatch closed, and rarely have any contams.
Anyone else up for sharing their workspace??
Cheers!

I would but I've actually been using someone else's lab and they would probably be pissed if I posted a pic..
But are you sitting while working ha?
Looks cool man. Maybe at some point you could use those foam insulation boards instead of plastic, a bit easier to wipe.

Yeah unfortunatly I'm too tall to stand up straight in there haha. Thats the one big downside, I would love to stand and move around a bit more freely. And not constantly bump my head

Not too bad of an idea. I have a passthrough and need to be moving or I may even consider it ha. My hoods almost to the ceiling on the table I have and I cant even change my prefilter ha, also have a pretty short room.
I like your paintings alot!

I got my HEPA filter from a company that ordered 10 for controlled testing of engines but ordered the wrong size. I was really lucky since buying these filters where I live is a real real bitch, resulting in shipping costs higher than the price of the filter itself. Unfortunatly the filter came without info on its resistance. What I do know is that it's 99.996% effective at 0.3 microns. For essembly I decided to be cautious and ordered a 500 cfm fan. It seems to have worked out fine though, a bic lighter blows out at about 10 cm away from the exhaust. At the moment I'm using no prefilter, which would of course add resistance. I've been thinking about adding one. Do you think that would be wise, even though the hood is located in a small area with litle dust setteling?

Actually, I dont have any technical know hows about hoods. Im prospecting to build one myself as LCs are close to impossible to accomplish in a SAB IME. But yours look pretty awesome. Adding prefilter prolongs the life of hoods I believe.
