I've not experienced it to the extent that it's purported, but on the comedown of a 3-4g trip I've had slight trouble swallowing naturally and a slightly distorted sense of balance.

Last time I ate ovoids I was stumbling all over the place. I actually fell into a bush at one point. My gf was laughing hysterically

I usually eat somewhere between 5 and 10 small fresh mushrooms when I'm out hunting. Does not make me feel anything but very baseline microdose effects. Sometimes ill just eat the baby ones cause I'm hungry and they taste good
Those mushrooms I thought were hybrids are just agrocybes. Still quite the coincidence that they grew right where I put the Agar wedge last year and the look like a cross of voids and cubes. Too good to be true... the n00b in me wanted to believe

Not me! I've gone up to nearly 15g of Ovoids with no problems at all. And I've done a handful of journeys with 5g+ of Azurescens that absolutely had woodlover paralysis at the end, so I'm pretty sure I know what to expect.

Lots of rain lately, checking every spot near rivers with boxelder trees that I can find, but nothing yet. Maybe it's just been too cold?
I found a bunch about two weeks ago in one small micro climate where utilities company chipped trees. But just one here, two or three there in a more general habitat. I posted a couple pics a few pages back. I think the cold at least slowed things down. Keep looking but maybe end of this week and next week will be better timing. Saw new baby void mushrooms just starting in some mulch. With these temps it takes a long time to mature.

Wow this looks insane. Is it natural and chipped? Is it in a floodplain? Nice find!

I'm generally curious about the perceived importance of knotweed to ovoids...
I can't seem to find mine apart from knotweed while in everyone's finds I feel like I don't see knotweed anymore. My spots are very far north in Ohio compared to others on here. The first time I ever found ovoids was on a sponsored knotweed pull in July and I kept finding them throughout July. That year was the most I ever found though, just a few handfuls. I just went down and walked 4-5 miles of riverbank in that area and found 1.6g dried. Tiny shrooms. Point is spot is touchy but I think worthy of further study.
Knotweed is fine right now as it's just a few feet tall or if you're pulling it, but around here it gets 12+ feet high and the old stalks are loud af to walk on (but the ovoids wood source?)...so I'm trying to branch out, I just don't know if the mycelium is at all strong or well established up here.
I've come across what looks like prime habitat in the same area, morels, box elders, etc, but no shrooms. Thoughts? I suppose there's only one remedy, keep walking, especially as it gets warmer. Rain all day up here, however, even started getting halfway to sleet!

Personally I’ve never found any utility in looking through knotweed.

Thought I'd find more than the handful I found. It rained pretty steady but this wind drying everything out has made it hard.

I've found knotweed around a couple spots, but they very rarely actually grow in it. Honestly I think it's just a coincidence.

So I will not be having a problem of not finding Ovoids or having to guess when they're up. Got me a clone from earlier and I'm about to expand the shit out of it.

Interesting. I have found ovoids growing from the base of knotweed, and I always assumed that the decaying stalks were their food, but this certainly gives me the motivation to spread out. There has to be a motherload somewhere nearby.

I found a boatload growing in this ground ivy stuff today, your pics inspired me to look, and ohh boy have I been missing out. It was a thick carpet of perfect voids with no bug damage or mold. They really love that stuff wish I would looked sooner!
