Does leaving spawn jars/bags uninoculated for a long period of time mess with moisture content?

I had some extra spawn I sterilized but never got around to inoculating (I'm talking a month long gap). They look more dry than a few weeks ago but I could just be imagining it. What have been everyone's experiences with this? Is there a danger in messing up moisture content by leaving sterilized spawn for too long ?

Is it in a bag or jar? Depends on the filter patch or GE set up on the jar but it definitely can dry out a bit over time, it's probably still good to go but A2G might take a bit longer to colonize, LI or LC would be the move.

I agree with that. The liquid in an LI/LC might help with the dryness a little bit too

Jars have polyfill filters and bags have 0.2 micron filters.

That makes sense—now I just need a viable LC haha
