Bones Macgyver's Rapid Biopsy Tool TEK⁶ 1

The "Bones Macgyver Rapid biopsy tool" (Requested by a few members) Made using a meat injector needle with luer lock I've cut the tip of the needle off, using a file exposing only a blunt tube. I've smoothed the edges of the sampling tube (needle) with a file and sandpaper
The ejector rod inside the needle is a small flathead screwdriver 🪛 I've drilled a small hole in the face of plunger of a 10cc syringe (I'm sure you've all got one laying around 😉) From which I've removed the plastic nipple that holds the black rubber plunger seal to the plunger.
The ejector rod is fixed to the plunger using rtv silicone (I'm pretty sure cyanoacrylate should work)
I found a spring that fits into the syringe barrel and cut it so that the ejector rod and plunger return to the original position, after you've ejected your sample..

That's good. I made something similar for agar transfers but it was more complicated. Mine uses some stainless tubing, a tungsten ejector rod and parts from a click pen for eject and retract. Fun to use. I like your idea though, much easier parts to source.

Do you PC this tool? Hence the RTV, or is that just what you had laying around.
I would be hesitant to use CA glue, as it's very brittle and i've no idea how it would hold up in a PC.

I think it would be enough to flame sterilize it before use. Like scalpels or metal drinking straws

How wide are your needles? I tried with a different heavy gauge needle (probably still a lot thinner) and it didn't pick anything up most of the time--maybe the myc split and went around the needle, or something went into the needle, but came out again when the needle was withdrawn.
