From left to right
Spyderco Manix 2
Spyderco Manix 2
Hogue Sig Sauer K320A (automatic)
Benchmade  Mediator (automatic)

So that's the second Benchmade I've bought and I'm really not that impressed with it, I'm just not a fan of Benchmade knives. IMO, they're overpriced, you pay for the name is all. Actually I'd trade that that Mediator for a Spyderco PM2 if anyone here is interested.

Thank god someone else posted some pics!

I’ve got one of those Mediators too and I only put it in my pocket a couple times. I can’t quite put my finger on what I don’t like about it but it seems a little too small. The only Benchmade knife I really really like is the 940. That sucker is a timeless classic.

Do you ever drive down the road fidgeting with your knife?
My girlfriend is worried I’m going to get in a wreck and stab myself in the neck or sneeze and poke my eye out.

We got in this whole conversation about whether I could do my job with one eye.

Yeah I'll usually fidget with my knife once I'm rolling on a highway lol, I can't really when I'm in the city because my truck is a manual. I'll probably cut myself one day or worse, put a slice in the seat of my truck by accident.

That Mediator is a small knife, smaller than what I expected even though I knew the specs on it when I ordered it. The blade stock is too thin for my liking. I feel like it's pretty much an expensive letter opener

Here's what's in my pocket today at work, the USA made Kershaw Blur with S30V blade

Do you guys ever have ideas about setting up a wall display of some sort for your knives? That's what I plan to to, when I eventually settle in Australia and buy/build a house.

Between my smallest blade and my Katana, I'd like to have all these beautiful objects set on display and ready to grab one for the day at a moments notice...

Not even once. Although we’re both adults and do as we please the last thing in the world I need is some whoppin ass wall display case to point at advertising my collection the next time I chide her for spending an outrageous amount of money on some weird limited edition perfume.

SPD X Terrain 365 Invictus-ATC Linen Micarta

Completely non-ferrous dendritic cobalt blade/titanium hardware.

Very nice blade that one. I really want to add something with micarta scales to my collection to see what all the fuss is about but I'm on hold from adding any new blades right now.

I can see your point when it comes to the wife. How do you keep them stored? Any of those nice hard cases with foam inners?

We’re not married in the eyes of the law but we’ve been together for almost 14 years now which is mind blowing to type out...

I keep most of my knives in their boxes in a bigger box but I’ve got a roll I keep in my truck so’s I can swap out from time to time.

I'm a complete nerd and I accidentally bought a titanium Mandalorian Mythosaur pocket clip. :facepalm3:

It'll fit on my Emerson A-100, Benchmade 940, Benchmade 9400, or Mediator.
I'm thinking it belongs on the 9400 and I'll throw it down the driveway a couple times to beat it up.

So I ended up finishing this one shortly after I first posted the start, I just hadn’t been back on here in a while. Pretty happy with the way it turned out; been carrying it daily for over two months now.

The blade is forged from a broken nicholson file and holds an edge well.  Stainless body from a toster with mokume gane flower washers made out of $1.50 in quarters melted together. The brush is horse hair and set in a scrap of ebony; the brush case is kydex with marks in half centimeter increments.  🍄
