Someone gave me their hardwood sawdust, but it has a bit of aluminum shaving in it. There isn't much aluminum and it's very fine shavings, but it's there. I'm wanting to grow chicken of the woods, lion's mane and shiitake from the sawdust. Will the aluminum be a problem with any of these? I've read that some mycelium will eat aluminum, and I don't want that in the fruit body.
