transposition
    #2729085 - 05/25/04 08:03 PM (12 years, 6 months ago)

Everytime my life really changes, its never what I expected.

I dont think this concept is heavily realized. (by me especially)

All this talk of evolution and spirituality and enlightenment and what have you, it feels good to think about, but how can it be viewed as personal growth, if you already feel you understand it or have a grasp on it?

I continuously find this confrontation with myself and what I hold to be true.
I look into my past and I remember all the times that I thought I knew what was happening, only to have everything change again. Everytime I think I've found a path, I'm called back into the wilderness again.

I guess that's the big thing about change... the Vulnerability of it. Letting go of a perspective you feel comfortable in. I think it's a response to the accumulation of evidence and the willingness to acknowledge it.

Its nice to post here again, you'll probably see me around.

Peace.

(p.s. anyone catch APC's last tour?)

Even though I feel like I'm on the right path, I don't feel like I understand everything completely. I feel, actually, like I'm still in the beginning stages of figuring everything out. I don't know if I will figure everything out, but it's fun trying.

The thing about spirituality is that there is always new stuff coming up that I have to analyze, see where it fits in with what I already believe, or throw something out to make room for the new belief. Or, I have to throw the new idea out because it doesn't fit, only to look for it later when I realize I made a mistake.

Pretty entertaining, really.

Dont worry about enlightenment man  Its overhyped and rightfully so.

Life, in my opinion, is similiar to the concept of video games; and video games kick ass. Do your best, learn from your mistakes, die sometimes, start over and learn from your mistakes, beat the level, repeat, beat the game, and move on to another game. Its too bad it cant be a bit more like Grand Theft Auto :frown:

grav, same way here. every time i find a groove it falls apart, and i learn all this simple stuff my groove was lacking. rinse lather repeat.

and then you have to work on remebering the stuff you already learned!

Yea psyka, i compare life to a videogame all the time. every now and then i really feel like im moving on to the next level, like ive figured out one of the puzzles where you have to move pegs into the right spot to open the vault doors. sometimes i wish there was a real definite enemy to conquer.. that would be alot simpler, but it seems the enemy is disguised and embedded in your own self. tricky tricky.

truekimbo, one of my big problems i think is that i spend so much time trying to find the big groove or the big lesson in life, that i miss all the little ones along the way.

so far ive found that change is never smooth. it always involves compromise, letting go of one thing for something else. it sort of depresses me that i have to pick and choose which parts of myself i can explore, because i can't have them all.

peace.
