Feeling the Shroom in your tooth nerves?
#27290541 - 05/02/21 02:30 PM (2 years, 8 months ago) |

Tripping shrooms I always tripped on Wavy Caps. Shrooms had a constant effect on me that I never saw described anywhere and that was considerably unpleasant.
When getting high on shrooms, the nerves in all my teeth started feeling electrified, a burning sensation that lasted as long as the trip lasted.
Needless to say it was uncomfortable and offputting.
Does anyone else experience this too?

You know me and my girl always got bad pains in our wisdom teeth, molars and even jaws at times. Idk. At one point I was convinced mushrooms were making my wisdom teeth grow, or effecting them in some way. I dont notice it as much anymore, but I dont eat them nearly as often or in as big of doses.
Ide say it does sound a but different then what you describe, but it did seem to last a while too, especially when we would lay down.

Yes, I feel it in my teeth in the early stages, an intensity of feeling in the base of my teeth, and into the roots. Unpleasant, but not unbearable.

I've never had tooth pain, but my jaw usually quivers/shakes uncontrollably during most of the trip.

I have!
And I too haven't really heard anyone else ever mention this. I've never mentioned it because it's always been such a small aspect of everything that happens over the course of 6+ hours, it often goes to the back of my mind once I've come back down.
It doesn't occur every time I trip but I have definitely had peculiar sensations "in my teeth" before while on mushrooms. It is an electric/nerve type sensation that feel in my teeth specifically. It is a bit uncomfortable when it occurs. I have felt this sensation become amplified after inhaling nitrous oxide while on mushrooms.
The last time I took mescaline (via cactus tea), it felt like my gums were super "tight" and tense, almost as if they were squeezing the base of my teeth and the sensation felt so intense it almost felt as if my teeth were going to pop out because my gums were so "tight" and tense....It was super strange, never felt anything like it before, never felt any sort of sensation like that. It was pretty uncomfortable.

Sometimes. But it also makes my teeth glow (not my observation, that of a friend) so there might be something going on there.

Never during the trip, two times after a trip, I became aware of a cavity I didn't know I had. Not really pain, but just an awareness that something was wrong with my health.

i got osteoarthritis and a lot of damage nerves every time i take above 20g it happens all nerves in left side of mouth fires up and thats kind my indication of waves about to come and it last entire trip and i have numb left side. in my case i have damage nerves.
you might wanna get that checked out nothing serious but sometimes facial injury, trauma to teeth can cause long term damage to nerves, and nerve ending firing up under shrooms it could be Bruxism(teeth grinding in sleep or awake), imo you might be grinding your teeth entire trip without even knowing
mushroom is a mushroom and its SSRI it has effect on frontal cortex Hampshire and central nervous system, so under shrooms if you are having burning nerves in spine, finger tips and tips of toe, feet and hands going numb thats apparently normal body response to over load of Inhibitors
what is abnormal facial nerves(not numbness of face),electrified teeth or sensation of itchy teeth those are things that need to be checked out by professional. you might also want to check out SSRI associated bruxism

it could be Phosphors in teeth or mushrooms that is making them glow if light hits in perfect way it can make teeth glow under shrooms also nails.

The feeling in my teeth is a first alert for me. It is one of the first sensations I notice. I dont mind the feeling. The intensity of my high is reflected in the intensity in the teeth feels. I also get a chest feeling on mushrooms similar but not quite like that of LSD.

I do not like operations related to teeth, but when it is vital, I simply have no choice, I gather my will into a fist and go for surgery. For example, when I needed to do teeth whitening services in Lake County OH, I collected my thoughts for a long time and thought about whether I needed it, then I realized that the problems associated with teeth are very important and they need to be urgently solved. I found the best clinic and spare my extra money in order to be provided the best equipment and a doctor. After the operation, I remained in good health and mood, I think it's all thanks to the quality work of the doctor and his assistant. Are you afraid of any operations, if so, which ones specifically?

I can say that I experience this exactly! I have been searching for information for years now. And find that it must be quite rare because nobody experiences quite what I do. Glad to see this post! My pain last for the entirety of my trip and my psychedelic experience is very minimal as well. It feels like these things are Associated but I don’t have proof. I’ve even microdosed in the way Paul Stamets recommends, and during a microdose I’ll still get slight pain throughout the entirety of the microdose. I know it was likely has something to do with nerves. It makes it really hard for me to want to even try mushrooms again in a large quantity because it’s so much pain for so long and I don’t know that I can have more of a psychedelic experience I’ve already had which is been very slight and minimal. Have you continue to use mushrooms and experienced this multiple times? Is this something you experienced every time? Does it seem to be getting better over time? Have you tried B12 and niacin while taking mushrooms? I have so many questions about why my body reacts this way and no one to ask lol -In the same boat Nichole

Yes - nearly every time, sometimes even on a micro that's closer to a threshold dose. I wouldn't describe what I feel as pain, but it's not comfortable either.

The traditional Mazatec method is 30 minutes of intense chewing, afterall.
Perhaps psilocybin has use in dentistry. Wouldnt a toothpaste be a decent idea for microdosing buccally?

For the 25 years I tripped it endured and was dose dependent. I have since, quit.
Some people have this and it prevents you from feeling good without there being psychology behind it. It just feels like voltage on your nerves.

You're trippin man. Just kidding. I've never experienced that, but similarly I used to feel a dry throat everytime I took them, didn't matter if it was .1g or 5g. Really unpleasant and steered me away from them for about a year. I think our our own neurotic tendencies, each unique to ourselves as we are all individuals, manifest quite strongly with psychedelics help.
