Is this yeast in my jars?

I'm using whole grain rice and I PC my jars longer than 90 minutes. This is my 3rd attempt using the same spore syringes with cambodian, but my first time using jars. The first 2 were grain bags that got contaminated. Got serious this time about sterilization. I'm fairly certain it's yeast but what gives me doubt is that these white spots are only in the areas that I injected my spores against the side of the glass, no other parts have these spots. The spots have been there for a few days without growing bigger. If this is yeast, do I have any hope?
The thing is, I'm not 100% certain that I trust the vendor I used for the syringes. I know, I know, I should've used a trusted vendor on here, next time I will. Anyway, my other 2 attempts had contamination like I said with no signs of mycelium growth despite keeping them in a perfect spot that stays 78-85° for over 2 weeks. I'm wondering if maybe it's the syringes?
I actually plan on putting my colonized grain into an outdoor bed because I've got plenty of places to do it. So, I went ahead and threw the contaminated grain into a bed I made using grass hay and a sterilized horse poo and garden soil mix, using layers. I placed wet cardboard on top too. I plan on doing this same tek with fully colonized grain. My question here is,does this sound like a good plan? Am I missing anything? I should mention that I live near the gulf coast in a pretty humid climate. https://

Looks like yeast not mycelium, why rice though?

Honestly I happen to have a ton of whole grain rice in the pantry leftover from the food banks after our house was wiped out by a tornado last year. I've read that it will work. Is that not true?

Rice should work fine as long as it was hydrated and sterilized properly. Do you have a picture of the syringe? How much MSS did you use per jar?
You have a few options now.
1. Make a few half-pint jars of the classic PF style BRF and see if you can get the syringe to work with them.
2. Make up some agar and squirt a drop from the syringe onto a few different plates and see what grows.
3. Ditch that syringe and buy another one from a different vendor.
4. You should have access to the marketplace soon if you don't already. Maybe find someone willing to give a spore print?
Edit:: I'm assuming here that you inoculated those jars and you haven't seen any growth yet.

Brown rice will work, I was more wondering why you chosem rice as it's not the best.
What happened to the jars in question?

Idk about that dude, i use BR exclusively and i've found it to be by far the easiest grain to deal with, wich also produces good results. Some people argue that they stick and clump together too much, i disagree. If you pick the correct kind of rice (i prefer long grained Basmati rice) and hydrate it properly w/o overcooking it it won't stick or clump.
Also, Rice does contain fewer bacterial endospores then other grains. So you can even use MS syringes on it with good and even consistent results. Before i started doing agar i never had a MS syringe fail on me and contam the grain during colonization (i make my own syringes btw) Only reason i started agar at all was to be able to isolate and get canopies of shrooms that had about the same rate of growth, instead of picking them in waves all the time.
Usually get about 45-70g from a 12quart shoebox with 2 mycoquarts of spawn. My highest yielding one gave me 87. All flushes counted, usually get 2-3 flushes before it stops producing. My contam rates are also low, only had 1 shoebox go green on me mid 2nd flush.

Absolutely not true. Rice is one of the most common causes of food poisoning because it's loaded with endospores.
