I dont think Ill ever use a punch. the round piece of agar isnt gonna make the myc symmetrical. it does that on its own

I feel like I haven't seen my family in a week. PMG and Playa jars almost finished colonizing. Ought to be able to start those right as the 2nd flush on these finishes.

Nice variety mario! Alot of those look solid af for shoeboxes.
Wish I had more variety going I keep getting stuck on one at a time, PE has all my attention atm.
And honestly I like the hole punch for taking transfers of perfect myc and I use scalpel for taking transfers in sketchy areas of plates. Seems to be a good balance

Damn all these tat varieties are crazy looking.
lol Mario I never spawn more than 3 or 4 a day so I’ve always got something going on. I said the same thing about half the guys here when I had to harvest my first full mono canopy. the quality of harvesting definitely went down to zero halfway through. Shoeboxes I can cut them clean the whole time but the full size tubs i go into “fuck it” mode real quick and start pulling by the handful.
It looks like every one of those tubs came out awesome man you got this stuff down.

Honestly if someone finally reports on how strong the overlay is and it turns out to be good, I wouldn't mind having some shoeboxes produce much of it
Can't wait to start growing this one

Really?

Normal cube colonization/fruiting time frame?
Pretty corn. Gotta cook the fuck outta it though. Red kernels split first. They split b4 the inside is tender.

Noticeably a slower colonizer than average ime. They also take their sweet time to fruit. This culture throws a sad handful of midgets first flush and after that it pulls out the bigguns. Apparently this is something seen frequently with the TAT genetics.

I would keep at it until it's tender, disregard the split kernels, trust me it will be fine as long as you dry them well. I don't trust grain that's not cooked inside.
I think deer corn is even harder to hydrate than that. I had to hydrate it under pressure in a bucket covered with water (you could hydrate it in the PC without using a bucket, but it's messier, so if your pc is big you can use a bucket) for 1,5 hours, yup lol. Less time would be needed if you don't use the bucket and cook directly in the PC.
There were a lot of split kernels and a lot of broken kernels too, but it was tender how I wanted and how myc wants it. Dry them really well on the outside and I promise you'll have no issues and no clumping whatsoever.
White rabbit on deer corn
WR growing invitro from deer corn (a couple of those jars aren't corn tho)
