I don't wanna get too specific, but it's along the Ohio river.

No luck along the Potomac today. At least not on the VA side. I’m thinking we need a good rain to get the ball rolling over here. I did see some pretty cool parasitic plants though, so I wouldn’t call it a bust.

Yeah still pretty meager in the DC area. That rain didn’t kick things off like I thought it would.

Found more today in south east Ohio. For sure we need rain. Found a couple pins in the place I found a lot last year. These where in a more damp spot.

I'd love to see a few warm days with unforecasted mid- to late-afternoon deluges. It all seems so dry right now.

Went out for hours today and this season is not kicking off like normal. Very little activity and everything is tiny. Beginning to worry this season is gonna be crap.

I was going to say the same. Either someone is getting to my spots before me, which I highly doubt, or this rain didn't do anything at all. Weeds are getting really thick too so it doesn't look good. Luckily, this one mulched spot has fruited so much that it's making up for all the others, multiple times even.

soon brethren very busy picking photography only slows you down, got a few cool shots tho on Monday. If I find anything super wild I'll be sure to post. Am I a monster for eating all the baby morels while I'm hunting to keep those pesky morel hunters away from my spots?

Found some decent sized ones at a local park, things are definitely happening though the really big boys will have to wait until later in the season

Here's a habitat shot for people trying to find the right types of parks to look around:

And, interestingly enough, found a stump nearby with both oyster mushrooms and what I'm pretty sure is enoki (still small to say for sure) side by side!
