The blobs have grown a bit and turned brown after introducing the bin to fruiting conditions. No idea what's going on here. I'll just wait and see what happens.

Here's what happened with my first M. scorodonius bin while the shroomery was down. The entire top surface of the bin turned a dark brown and it started pinning (second picture). Sadly the bin got contaminated with green mold which I tried to remedy or at least postpone with bleach soaked paper patches, to no avail. I couldn't maintain proper moisture levels for this unmodified bin, since I wasn't originally planning to run it without a casing layer. But the weird behavior of the mycelium tempted me to just run it as is, so I could have a visual on what was going on.

I had to discard the bin because every day the green mold would pop up somewhere else, and the pins didn't seem to like being directly misted on either. In the meanwhile the second bin was fully colonized, but I had to desinfect my growing area first because other projects also got green mold contamination. This second bin grew some serious overlay and started browning as well. Yesterday I removed the blobby growth with a fork, which peeled off surprisingly easy. only the brown parts were harder to get off. after removing this growth I cased the bin with 50/50+ and cracked open the lid.

I also made some new grain spawn so I can continue trying to cultivate this mushroom! Did you have any luck growing them in the meanwhile?
