I’ve got auto cheese cbd supposed to be here any minute.
It’s been a long time since I was waiting on the mailman
I think I’m going to order solomatic next. I hate high thc type stuff it makes me crazy nervous and paranoid most of the time.
Recently I’ve been really into cbd and terpenes. I got some live resin high in Linalool and myrcene with 70% thc that I’ve been sticking onto bud with i think 14% cbd and 1% thc that’s working great for me.
I know it sounds really weird but I’m on a mission to duplicate the high from pipe resin. Back when I smoked all day before it started marking me anxious I used to love cleaning out my downstem and getting a few giant bong rips of resin. It tastes gross but for me the high was fantastic.
My guess is that it had a lot of terpenes with high melting points. So my game plan for now is to get pure cbd bud and make hash from it and then mix that with regular bud that’s got high levels of whatever terpenes. Gonna be a long project lol.

I'll be growing...
Mango Smile ("Mango Haze" from Mr. Nice is the mother in the cross)
Creme de la Chem ("Stardawg illuminati cut" is the mother in the cross)
Skywalker ("Skywalker Kush" from DNA genetics is the mother in the cross)
Some will be in 30 gal fabric pots in organic/live soil, and others will be planted directly in the ground.

Blue Dream FEM Auto
Jack Herer FEM Auto
Skywalker Ghost Trianlge OG Kush FEM Photo-period
What breeder did you get the autos from?
I'm planning on growing some autos for my first time this year, I got some stuff from Mephisto and I plan on getting a couple from Twenty 20 Mendo.
Seems like autos are becoming a lot more popular over the past couple years or so. I've noticed more breeders are getting into working on autos, some that have been in "the game" for a while.

Yeah it’s way way more complex than I was expecting when I started. I was thinking I’d throw some seeds in a pot and water them
This is the stuff I’m using, pretty common I think.

That's common stuff if you're a synthetic/salt/hydro grower. I've never touched a bottle of that stuff before.
It doesn't need to be complex though. I keep things super simple.
I more or less give my plants nothing but water for the 6 to 7 months that they're growing. I top dress the soil before planting and do so again once or twice through out the grow, but besides that and some occasional "teas" my soil and plants receive nothing but water.

Hi OM!
I can't remember the vendor. I got them from multiple breeders last year and now I can't find the email. I want to say "00 Seeds" and "Dinafem" maybe from seedsman?
I love growing autos. It's amazing how fast they grow. The first 2 weeks are a little slow going and then BAM! They shoot off like a rocket! I think they are getting better and better every year and are almost as good as Photo-period, even better in some ways.
I read in a couple places that 7 gallon fabric pots are the perfect size for autos and also that it is best not to transplant them. Best to start in the pot that they will finish in. Take some pics for us!
Also, do you mind if I ask what general area you're moving to? Still staying in Cali? I'm thinking about moving too. Still in the Bay Area, but probably more north like San Rafael to Santa Rosa. I like Oakland, but might be nice to live up there and just come down to visit Oakland/San Francisco when I want to.

I wish I knew more about this, but it's so clean I love it. I stick to lots of small dabs throughout the day so as to maintain without losing focus on work. Don't know the method or material used. Seems the chemist is showing off.
If you got Dinafem last year then you got pretty lucky it sounds with that raid in Spain.
My holy grail is what I was introduced to as Triangle Kush. Smelled of pinesol, and tasted like fruit punch. Orgasmic wave after a big deep hit held in long. I could pick it out of a room post smoke session.
I like a nice fruity scent/flavor, but I love all quality buds. Just got some Bananium that is awesome.
I checked my humidity dome setup and while no peppers have popped there are a few more layer cake x chocolate nightmare.

All about those terpenes
I just tried live resin for the first time, it’s some good stuff.
It’s so sad stripping my plants down for manifold went from big and beautiful to a stick with two leaves lol.

Yea I'm actually looking forward to growing these autos for the first time and seeing "how they grow"...I'm super curious about and interested in seeing how they go through the different phases of growth in such a relatively short period of time.
I plan on sowing the seed directly in the 30 gal fabric pots they're going to be grown in. Some folks start their seeds in small containers and then transplant their autos but I don't want their roots ever being limited/restricted, even if for a short period of time.
Outdoors, I feel that even autos will fill out a 7gal pot pretty quickly. 7gal is definitely "plenty" for them to grow but I want em' to have "more than plenty" space for their roots to expand so they'll be in 30gal pots. (that's also the size I've grown photos in the past few years so I already had the pots on hand, I've been using the same soil in those pots for 4 years now)...It's also rather hot & dry in my area so a larger pot is def more ideal in my climate.
I'm going to try to post some pics once I get things going...I'm terrible at posting pics though lol. I still need to post pics from the plants I grew last year/last summer lol (something I plan on trying to do soon, tho I've def said that before lol).
I don't want to jinx myself or sound "cocky"....But if all goes to plan (which it never really does lol), but if it goes to plan I feel that the autos I grow will be some killer looking autos. I really want to "knock it out of the park" with these plants, especially since this will likely be the last time I get to grow outdoors for at least a couple years (moving this summer and not sure if I'll be in an ideal spot to grow outdoors).
I'm really looking forward to growing that "Mango Smile" though!...I have yet to grow anything that has a lot of "haze" in the genetics and is mostly "sativa", it will def be the most haze/sativa based genetics I've grown. Folks that have grown it say it has a classic old school hazey aroma and a very heady uplifting energetic high.

I'll be moving up to the Humboldt area, around Arcata/Eureka.
It is absolutely gorgeous up there, some of the most stunning landscape/scenery. Super lush redwood forests and the rugged coastline, along with the Trinity alps close by. The area up there feels pretty secluded and separated from the crowds and crazy-ness and hectic-ness of California. I was up there a couple months ago and it felt so far away from "California", felt like I was somewhere else entirely. Way more mellow. Very little traffic, roads are almost desolate at times. And the landscape and wild life in general made me feel like I wasn't in Cali anymore, seeing herds of Elk roam around in misty/foggy meadows along the coastline/redwood forests was magical AF lol. There is something "enchanting" about the vibe of the land up there.
Also a sense of community up there. Small town vibes. More folks that are like-minded to me, more down to earth folks. There's somewhat of an art & music scene and cool "things" happening up there. More small local business and mom & pop places and less big box/corporate stores. There are A LOT of things that I find attractive about the area up there.
Humboldt is definitely where I want to be, where I want to start my "life". I currently reside in the central valley and I can't stand existing here. Living in the valley is rotting my soul, I feel lifeless in this place.
The only thing about up there is the growing season is much shorter and not as spectacular as where I live now (at least near the coast), and it's a lot more humid/wet...As someone that loves gardening and growing cannabis I'm really going to miss all the sunshine and the super long spectacular growing season of the valley. That's basically the only single thing I like about where I live right now, it's fantastic for growing plants lol.

dude i know lol. between lighting & nutrients i felt like i was trying to do rocket science at first. honestly i think cultivating cubensis is easier than growing weed lol. mycology has its own learning curves, but i felt like i was much morse successful growing mushrooms my first time vs growing cannabis. mushies are much more set & forget as well & the end product’s potency & quality isn’t nearly as dependent on proper nutrients & lighting like cannabis
you’re right though, it’s totally just about digging through the info & synthesizing it into practice. i know a lot of people use the GH nutes & i think having a trio set makes it way easier when you first get into it
oh my god i know, it’s amazing how fragrant some strains are even in veg. it’s awesome but bad if you’re tryna be lowkey lol. i know cheese plants can be stinky
yoooo that’s badass!! what did you use to preserve that leaf??
also, i completely feel you with searching out better terps & cbd. i’m tired of being cracked out on 38% THC bud lol. me & my friends have been seeking some chill dad weed for a hot minute now, finally found a strain called honey cream that’s like 16% thc w 1-5% cbd & is supposed to have a really nice psychedelic high

The redwoods are one of the coolest places in the world imo. Good call id love to live up there too.
Damn hobbit are you topping the autos multiple times? I still have trouble seeing how the plants grow and what’s normal and what’s been manipulated.
That ashtray was just this cheap mold and bottle of clear resin I bought on amazon. People make some really cool stuff with it. I tried making one before that with a giant spore print that covered the whole bowl but the spores kinda washed off.

I just now got this vape cart called jungle juice that’s got a good buzz to it. Something like 53% cbd and 45% thc which a decent amount of a few relaxing terpenes. Got me way higher than I expected from that cbd thc ratio but totally clearheaded.
I think I’ve officially got every training method going on now
Ones topped, ones starting a manifold, ones fimmed, and ones super cropped. Now to wait for this explosive bushy growth I keep reading about.

It’s amazing how fast it came back from that super crop. I checked it about 4.5 hours later and it’s already got the arch going from turning back towards the light.
I really want to try super cropping one into a tight zig zag. Like bent opposite ways every inch or two. I’m sure it’s been done but I couldn’t find any pictures online.

God damned Fucking Rollie Pollie fucks ate the roots of my Skywalker Ghost seedling and ate the whole Blue Dream plant.
Replacing them with...
Cheese Auto Fem And Skunk Auto Fem
Sounds nice Openmind! Good luck on your grow and your move. I have a feeling that we will eventually move north of the Bay Area completely and Humbolt/Shasta is about as far north as I think we would go. Much further north than that area seems way too foggy and rainy for me. I love the Bay Area and especially our weather, but the criminals are getting out of hand. I plan to make that nice Bay Area money for a while then live comfortably in another area that is sort of nearby here.
You should come up to the Shasta gathering at the end of May if you can swing it. Good times, good people, and good mushroom hunting! Last year I found a nice spot where lots of Porcini grow in abundance! Not many people were there last year, but I have a feeling more will come this year. It's also a beautiful place to hike and visit. We'er also going to try to get 1 or 2 days in Lassen this year too!

That's a bummer about your seedlings getting chomped .
And yea. Humboldt/Shasta is def the farthest north I'd want to live, for many of the reasons you mention. Rain/fog/temperature....Though some parts of southern Oregon are pretty nice.
Another big reason I want to move is wanting to get away from the huge masses/large populations of people, there are so many people that live in the central valley and the bay area, even out here in the valley traffic is starting to get pretty ridiculous over the years. I'm one that really doesn't like being around such large masses of people (I could never live in the bay area lol, I love the vibe in some parts of the bay but there's way WAAAAY too many people for me to live there).
And yea...I forgot about that annual Shasta gathering. I've been meaning to make it for a while now. There's usually a festival I go to every year that happens around mid to late May and that's one reason I haven't made it yet, but that festival isn't happening this year so there's a chance I'll be able to make it to that Shasta gathering. Def interested!

I might be forgetting some, but that's the main autos I've grown. The ones I'm growing now are in veg stage still... Gorilla zkittlez auto Sour diesel auto Gorilla girl XL auto x4 Strawberry pie auto x2
I've been focusing on photoperiod plants right now besides them autos. I've been mainlining my photos and I've done it on a couple autos. Most of them are just LST.

Lol that’s a good way to do sprouts and flower together.
The small pot is what made them stay smaller right?
My first two autos popped out of the soil today I can’t decide if I should put them in 2 or 3 gallon pots though.
So far the speed of coir is living up to the hype. This plant at 15 days is twice the size the seeds I started in gallon pots of soil were.

It also came out of the ground larger than normal too so it might just be genetic.

my hydro plants have blown my soil plants of the same clones out of the water in terms of growth, even the leaf sizes are different. the hydro was putting out leaves twice the size of the soil plants, so it may just be that much better
