Can you tell me how you done your PE? Like spawn to sub ratio and casing? Do you think I would be ok with just a CVG casing?
Thanks EK

Well lately I’ve been going 1:3 for my tubs, if not a little higher.. I can definitely tell the difference.. my worst tubs with the 1:3 are about what my best tubs were at 1:2 spawn/CV. In the sandwich baggies I do 1:4 for all varieties… keeps them hydrated better with better results.
PE can be done with just CVG as a casing/top layer but it needs (generally) to be thick and compressed (2” after a light compression—until you feel a decent resistance) check this thread out by p9hu7. Of course you could get lucky and find a clone that performs without blobbing by just putting a normal top layer on but odds are low and almost nonexistent (at least without some blobbing) when doing MS.
Some more pea+ f1 clone zipblocks

It’s not a FC but I’m trying to expand ps cyan wood chips in 2.5 gallon bags.. doing 1:1 colonized to 1 hour boiled new chips… needle holes every 3” or so. The plan is to turn this bag into 2 bags and then 4 bags and then 8 bags and so on until the spring and I can make some patches

I figure I can just hold the chip block when partially colonized and turn the bag upside down to dump out any built up condensation.. probably spawn new bags at like 90-95% colonized.. I’m using hickory smokers chips from the grocery store for now but plan on mixing it up as I go.. maybe some apple and alder.. hardwood pellets etc.. haven’t gotten that far yet lol

Thanks
Pea+ is a PE and AA+ cross and the PE/pfrs is a PE and pf red-spore cross. I believe Amazonian is the same as pesa (Pacifica exotica spores Amazonian). I may have some of those words wrong but I think that’s it. I actually have a PE/pesa cross f1 about to fruit.. I’ll lyk when it matures (I’m sure you’ll see the pics )

Don’t you give em some fresh air to get em to start pinning?? Spawn em to bulk substrate? Something. I don’t like throwing things away til I see colors… lol.
I just made a fart bag a couple days ago! A weird one with rye grass. I guess we will see what happens!
