Nothing doing on my bags yet.. didn't know x7x takes so long to fruit. Mycelium was always aggressive on agar and threw pins. I haven't grown this out yet but this culture is cloned from agar pins. It's all fully colonized but not much knotting going on. Also starting to dry out a little since I opened up the bags for extra FAE

Finally have pins on the x7x bags. One caught trich so I'm down to 3.

Didn't think x7x was one of those cultures that would take 16 days from spawn til pins.. 🤔

Sucks you lost one.. any time someone loses a sub when they’re using one of my methods, it feels like I lost a sub
:feelsbadman:

I always needed more holes than I thought I did, especially near the sub surface but that’s for my climate I suppose.  Probably going to experiment with fewer, larger holes at some point.
I feel ya in the pin times.. all the PE crosses I’ve been working with take PE times to pin.. on the upside, there’s a good chance that’ll mean they’re nice and potent.  Good luck with the rest of em and thnx for the update

Very nicely done faht..

When I broke away from tubs and started to use grow bags It was a game changer.. My production went way up, It hurts to loose tubs from the green. (all the spawn jars and coir and time)..

I believe that the substrate in tubs gets much hotter than compared to bags.. Less heat equals a healthier mycelium that can keep the contaminate at bay.

When my grow starts to pin I cut the bags down so the side pin don't get all screwed up. by getting the plastic away from the sides of the sub. gives you much more grow area.
That's why I keep the bags in tubs just to maintained the humidity/climate.

Any thoughts on the subject?

I think that’s definitely a legit way to go about it.. keeps everything nice and contained while getting the benefits of a tub grow (mainly water not dripping back on the sub)

Cambo fahtbag short to harvest.
I found an accidently forgotten syringe in the fridge,
i guess it was ~5 years old.
Germinated on brf, and didn`t expect that much,
as the jar took 6 weeks to fully colonize.
But it`s not that bad, it`s just 600ml spawn.
That`s a 2100cc box, some vendors often use with the filter bags.
Poked some holes, they really perform great

Here's some ziplock goodies done on a smaller scale. Had some leftover grains from a g2g and had read through this thread so figured what the heck can't hurt to try a bit. Took a regular sandwich bag mixed some coir with the leftover grains and let em colonize. Cased with jiffy right from the bag and here are my results. From some grains that woulda been thrown away I'll take this everyday and twice on Sunday.

Thanks for the idea to do this Mr faht!
Think I'm gonna do it with a whole qt just to screw around and see what I can get out of 1 qt.

Thanks for posting it in here!  Did you poke holes for FAE or do something else?  it’s hard to tell in the pic.  Thanks again!
