Yeah I noticed that the colonizing slowed quite a bit once it started pinning. And yes, just that one little spot is left. Oh cool didn’t realize I could just let these finish then dunk. These are my first fruits ever so I’m feeling protective lol. I’ll use the fahtloc and give ‘em a chance to finish. Thanks!

Hey, took your advice. I didn’t dunk. Let first pins grow then cut off. I saw in your OP you sometimes put on perlite and stuck inside the bag. Side pins keep growing but then abort (? Keep being overtaken by mycelium). Should I just dunk? Feel like I’m killing it slowly/ loving it death. This is my first ever cake so I’m sure doing this wrong. :facepalm3:
This was them in vitro:

Was pretty good at first (I harvested the first couple):

But since then this is happening (just opened bag to take photo):

This is the fahtloc set up I’m trying:

It looks ok.. I can’t tell if it’s overly dry or wet or just right lol.. since there’s condensation on the coir strands, I’m assuming that’s hydrated but the cake is showing signs of stress (bruising)… could be fighting something which could be why it pinned before full colonization or just on the dry side with the more mature fruits.  Not bad looking fruits tho.  Could pick em once they get a bit bigger and dunk to see what else ya get.

Ok, thanks. I'll just keep harvesting the side pins and then dunk when they run out. And keep overmisting/undermisting/just righting it until it shrooms no more. . .

Some ATL#7(Cosmoplex) that didn't hate being in fahtlocs. They look like they would enjoy more FAE but I also didnt have to mist these, so

Yeah.. I usually do one on one side and the other corner folded to the other side but I don’t think it matters that much.

I guess I didn't quite get this right on the first go.

But I ain't even mad.

That blob is almost the size of my fist. Think I will roast it on a stick like a marshmallow and make a face melting s'more!

With PE specifically, I’ve only done a lined container inside the bag as opposed to using the bag as the liner.. just because the amount of time it needs to be in the bag and the condensation and the use of a casing.  I think the bagged liner needs a bit more attention with turning the block upside down to drain the pooling so it doesn’t cause surface problems.

But I bet you get a decent second flush if it isn’t all bact’d out

Thank you, sir. Will try it that way next time. Actually I thought they were stalled until I did turn them over and drained the condensation. They started doing something a couple of days after that.

I'm sorry to say that all 3 recent ziplock bags moulded post spawning to the ziplock. While putting a open bag over a flower pot on some Avery's albinos worked super.
