Love these Ziploc bags..

Got my first clone going and it's in a ziploc!! I can't wait to see how it does. Should I clone the clone? Or take a spore print.. hell I guess I could do both right? Anyway thanks for sharing this method, I love it

Nice forest ya got there! I’d do both.. if you see multiple phenos showing up in your clones, you can clone the desired one to narrow the genetics down even more
Pulled one of the mak zipblocks.. probably my best one yet. Biggest fruit was 71g

BEAUTIFUL.. do you think larger fruits are down to genetics or water in the sub? What do you look for when testing feild capacity? I have a tub that was a little on the wetter side and gave a heavy mist when spawning and it is the best tub I have had yet, surface conditions are spot on and no misting needed and just beautiful surface conditions but I will soon see if that transfers into larger fruits.
Also I had a large 2nd flush fruit that I cloned and grew it out and the mushrooms were NOTHING like the donor... Small whispy first flush
Damn... Did you fit that all in a 2 gallon zip?

Thanks.. it’s a 2.5 gallon haha. Later flush fruits are usually larger than the first so even if you clone a large second flush mushroom, that’s what the mush will look like on the second flush.. unless there’s fewer fruits on the first flush, then you could get that larger mushroom. Know what I mean? Typically, Less fruits in a flush = larger fruits, more pins/fruits = smaller mushrooms. There’s only so much a sub is going to put out in BE.. the BE varies culture to culture
(You’re gonna to get the best BE out of culture when it has the most water available to it by having more CV but there’s a point of diminishing returns when there’s not enough spawn for the amount of CV. 1:4 seems to be the sweet spot ime)
That’s why you should be wary of someone selling a culture with pics of a giant fruit claiming that’s how the culture will always perform.. there’s a fair chance it’s just a second or third flush mushroom.

Hey Faht, just put some 1/2 pint test jars to my first fahtlocs! Have you tried ever using wide mouth pint jars as test jars?

In a ziplock or just top fruiting the jar? I haven’t used them for either, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work just fine. Let me know how it goes

Man those melmaks are looking nice. That strain I think is next on my to-do list, that or PE uncut. Not sure what strain these are, both 1st flush. One bag turned out decent, i might take a clone from one of the fatter ones,, the other was only 2.4g dry weight lol not sure what happened there.

2nd Faht bag with micro shrooms...

Gym bags!

That first bag was on a mixture of coir,, verm, straw, and worm castings that I was using for cubes but thought I'd toss some colonized rice into a bag and see what happens. Seems to like it more than HWFP so far. I have 2 bags of HWFP that have been colonizing for like a month now.

PE/pesa f3 sandwich baggie actually did really well.. everything is solid all the way through.. even the fruits. Looks to have stopped dropping already as well.. liking where these are headed

Clean the baggie out and sprayed the sub down and let’s see if we get anything from 2nd flush

This is a stupid question but does this eliminate the need for a jiffy casing layer for PE?
Thanks Faht.

Nah.. I still use casing layers when I do PE in ziplocks.. I actually prefer a lined container inside the zip that I case. Not sure how much PE I’m gonna be doing now that I have mak tho.. a lot nicer not having to case and getting equal or better results
