Idk of I just got shit genetics or if there’s some bacteria showing around the edges that’s holding it back, but this Melmak TP is I think about 5 weeks in.





I mean I guess I can clone and they’ll prob get extra fat since there’s only 3 :shrug2:

I just got an lc of melmac.  Do you guys have any other tips or warnings besides bags vs tubs?  Do tubs suffer in yield or just fruit size? Thanks!

I run Melmac like standard cubes. Big bag of spawn into accurately hydrated coir with a top layer, all in a handcut liner.

I find my unmodified tubs, with dialed in substrate, set n forget, produce canopies yielding ~8oz dry.

As I've worked on cleaner spawn I'm seeing more subsequent flushes instead of the ol one n done.

If you got an LC get it on agar, cause I don't trust LC to be clean for fuck all :lol:

I use agar and LC and LI.
Melmac dont really do well on 2nd flush. Not worth the space to keep it around IMO

Do you guys think it’s the restricted FAE or is it maybe a higher heat or RH that’s producing the better yields in bags?  If it’s the former, maybe I can seal off the tub better?

I think it's the thicker sub with the near constant microclimate.

Thank man, it was definitely a surprise.


I’ve only run two melmak grows and the first one never started a second flush and the one I just posted has four or five pins but the biggest just aborted.

The amount they put out first flush can’t leave much left.

The guy I got this LC from said they benefit from thicker subs so I was hoping to go to 1:3 sub/spawn.  You guys think that’s unadvisable for Melmac?  Thanks.
