I got this used 2x2 ffu off ebay.
 
Super stoked. However.. it has all these wires
 
None of them were hooked up to anything properly like someone just plugged random shit together
After troubleshooting with youtube and the help of some shroomy doods I got the bitch hooked up and powered. Second larger however, the motor makes a loud buzzing noise and the fan doesn't spin and if it does it makes this awful grinding sound. As of right now the unit wont blow. Gonna take it apart and clean it. Otherwise the motor might be bad
Good to be back I also harvested a few flushes and tossed more moldy tubs. Fucking mold
..oh ya I tripped really hard last thursday

Figuring out which of my shroomery bookmarks were cached on the wayback machine 
Also dropped a smaller dose from my first grow since starting back up. Wonderful experience.

I decided to go all in and try to get to farmers markets by mid-June, July. Building out that dreamy 2x4 rn.
Speaking of dreamy, that FFU looks fiiiine...if it works.

While shroomery.org was being rebuilt, I
A) Found an alternative to Spitball Jedi's WBS tek at

B) Bought Mosquito Bits https://www.summitchemical.com/mosquito/mosquito-bits/
and got into the habit of watering my houseplants with it so I don't get
any fungus gnats this year.
C) Bought more moth traps like these

because I saw moths flying in my kitchen in late February/early March and
I don't want to run out of traps to nail those bastards (they were a bit
slow this time of year so I managed to slap at least one of them out of
existence).
D) Achieved 100% colonization of cubes mycelium in WBS jars
after inspiration from Professor X and verum subsequentis during the winter months.
E) I cloned 10 WBS jars by watching PhillyGoldenTeacher's G2G tek
youtube video at
Now I have 10 extra WBS jars of my #1 cubes mycelium.
My #1 cubes mycelium is the mycelium that won the speed contest (which of
my mycelium cultures would be the first to hit the perimeter of the agar
dish ?) back in January or February. I did this on April 13th.
This tek worked so well that I completely gave up any further idea of
getting LC to work. Instead, I committed to using this tek exclusively
to inoculate hydrated, sterilized grain jars with mycelium from now on.
This tek uses 1 jar of fully-colonized grain to clone 10
hydrated, sterilized jars of grain with the same mycelium in 14 days.
WOW! 1 jar fully-colonized grain spawn to 10 jars grain spawn in 14 days!
What more could you want?
The first time I did this, I got so many jars in my Tub-in-Tub inoculation
chamber the plastic lid no longer fits on top, so I just threw the left-
over part of a flannel sheet that I tore on top.
F) I dumped all my agar dishes on which the mycelium either had contam's or had stalled or was not #1 or #2 in my speed contest
G) Ordered and received slant tubes. I plan to save my #1 cubes mycelium (and maybe #2) to slant tubes using ham loaf's tek in the next week or so.
H) Bought a dozen WIDEMOUTH 1 quart jars to go with the gray plastic Ball jar lids made in Malaysia. I used these for the grain jar clones I mentioned in part E. I highly recommend this tek.
The Gray lid is supposed to allow for gas exchange just by loosening the lid slightly, but not so much ventilation that spores & germs will enter. It
has worked for me so far (once).
I) I made two more 12-qt. mini-monotubs following PhillyGoldenTeacher
(tek begins at 0:49)
He follows Bod's unmodified shoebox tek. According to him I am ready
to flip the lids on the tubs tomorrow, April 22, tomorrow, and introduce fruiting conditions. Wish me luck this time around!
J) I accepted that once in ten new grain jars, a jar might not become
fully colonized for some unseen reason. Am I wrong to accept this? (I
have a microscope but haven't used it since I was a boy.)
K) Found a sprayer at the dollar store that mists tubs perfectly. It
is small and pink, found in the cosmetics aisle, and only costs $1. I will buy another dozen when the dollar store gets more.
L) Got my first covid19 vaccine dose today. YEA!!!!! Will get my second dose in May.

Gearing up for a spot at some markets this summer so been running through everything and culling active grows to make room. Painful process because I just want to ramp up even harder lol. In relation to said spatial issues: a lot of this time went into ripping my almost-fully built second story off to make it a single story/put a roof on. Good times Shroomery being down sucked. Really missed it and all you good people.

missing the forums every damn day- especially after realizing its a nightmare everywhere else
over here it's pretty straight forward- we generally know what works and what doesnt and the facts from the myths- and its not hard to weed out incorrect information.
so for 21 days ive been reading and laughing at at the fact that I was reading 10 blatantly incorrect statements for every 1 accurate one
also Shroomery knows proper banter and kicks... everywhere else seems like a bitchy "who's right" contest. blew my mind!

Red is hot, white is your neutral and green is ground. It might be wired backwards if it is humming but not spinning. Depending on the style of blower it will dead head if wired wrong, some kinds of blowers will not spin. Show more pictures if you can and I am sure we can figure it out. Maybe the capacitor is wired wrong from the dooch on ebay who couldn't get it running.

Pulled my first harvest off of my tiny PF cake and ran through the dehydrator
Only came out to 1.75 dry but I split it into a tea with a friend for my first experience
It was a lovely light experience with some enhancement of colours and good CEV and introspection once cosied up in the tent for bedtime.
Definitely felt my muscles tensing a little as the effects came on and am grateful for all the trip reports that mentioned 'letting go' or 'surrendering' during this moment and I am pleased to have taken a lower dose initially so that if this effect is amplified on larger doses I have practice in accepting the feeling without panic or distress
Got some wood based jars on the go made from oak sawdust and BRF for some Nameko which I've started off and some Psy Cyan which is on agar on the moment too
Also lamenting the absence of the Shroomery for fact checking and Tek checking!

I was surprised about the bad rep shroomery has in some places. Apparently we're a bunch of arrogant know it alls. Think people get their feels hurt by getting called out on bullshit or not getting a pat on the back for growing jars of bacteria.
I spawned a few PE6 shoeboxes in the downtime, all looking pretty happy. Also cloned some oyster tissue, moving towards my first edible grow. The Myc looks awfully like mold so far though.
Glad to be back bois.
