I don't know, this old game is fucking with my head.
I keep buying new games and some I just say fuck it but will finish this. Just has this creepy A.I. and Alien vibe to but their are no aliens just A.I. gone horribly wrong. Some are real workers in space trapped in a machine that you accidently torture even to death and others are just screen programs of a people that have a high A.I. and still want to live in whatever mechanical machine lets them express their intelligence and person.
It makes sense to a degree, still, like with people, not for torturing, but people would be people even in machines. Which is good and grey area and bad. And express themselves.
Just a really strange game. And it takes a lot for me to play older games. Watched some of this and then bought it on sale of of Steam awhile back. Vid is an hour and twenty minutes. But the point being the psychology of it if you don't play it is interesting. A sense of awe and despair. And really depressing. Some are, some aren't.
It is complicated. Like a good Sci-Fi novel. You make choices and you are not sure but then on a whole different level then just humankind.
A.I. and whatever the fuck this is. Is not scary with jump scares and endless action like Dead Space and such. Just mentally. Plays on one's emotions and trying to decide if I like this game or not. Have enough time invested in it and am curious about the ending. And yes it came out a long time ago and is dated graphically but it is not about that. Why am I even writing this?
It fucks with one's psyche. Or mine anyway. A feeling of being trapped or stuck. Theta etc., brain waves one's mind tunes into consciously or subconsciously. I think whoever programmed this game has an understanding of this. It fucks with your head. It feels like I am enduring even when I haven't played the game for hours.. Brain processes and likes to keep it simple. Not on this one. Think I am done with it is is something I really can't process consciously which I do not like.
Has nothing to do with what I thought it did. Brain Waves. Manipulating them so they are negative and leave one feeling like shit hours afterwards. On with it. Done with this game. This is not fun or enjoyable. And it is the sound not the graphics or gameplay and it feels like shit.

Deleted it. Fuck it. It is the sound. I could finish it on mute but no. I didn't believe it was possible for gamers to do this till today.
Wow, I still don't get it but feel better. Took like two hours and I am not joking. I maybe more open then others, but shit, that really sucked. Felt like two hours of just waiting for that feeling from the mind to leave. Just the sound, not the game.
Blah. To each their own. Really don't give a shit. Take Datura.

No drugs involved. If anyone gets -brainwaves, like if anyone has had a 3D poster and meditated on it. And could change your thought waves to a state, after some practice, to see the pictures outward. Then shift focus to inward and see different pictures in depth, like they were going inward on the poster. That is what I am trying to explain.
God, I fucking deleted it and uninstalled it. That sucked. On with life.

I liked it. I liked the atmosphere
I had to restart it after I edited a file on it to get fps capped at 240fps
I like the underwater psychological experience
Better than Outlast, but not as good as Amnesia Dark Descent
Altho these games you could probably speedrun since they're silly
Idk I grew up with puzzle games like myst and stuff. This wasn't exactly that
Yes the AI is easy and only does preset paths
That being said, it took me like 40 minutes to reset the router. I don't think that monster's AI is random
Also there is a,monster that straight up chases you on one of the levels...and it does not care about closed doors. It will hunt you
I like the concept, but yeah, it could have had more puzzles and more of a fleshed out story.
Not really any jumpsscares or actual horror, just mind games mostly. I did solve all the Easter eggs.
If they make another one they will need actual AI with the enemies

Read your post. I am done with it and on to the next game I bought. To each their own but lost a lot in the underwater and they do it to you again. But like I wrote, mentally it just, with the sound messed me up and I understand it doesn't effect everyone the same way.
The A.I. is dumb with the mech fish wanting the black liquid, and can see why it would get worse towards the end. I could of completed it but just deleted it. On to the next game.
Just bought a new soundbar and looking forward to when I can just buy a next gen. console. My laptop burns up but has held up remarkably well for an Acer gaming one.
So I just play games on my laptop until then with a fan by it.
