Socket on a brick wall
    #27259917 - 03/19/21 04:59 AM (2 years, 10 months ago)

So i guess i have arrived on the corner of the Shroomery where all the nifty things get created.

Moves to a new house recently and trying to build a great growroom. I've installed electrical power where there was nothing before and now i fins that i have no knowledge on how to fix this socket to a brick wall, will probably get around to applying gypsum when it's done. The socket is almost bare behind the plastic cover.

Any word of advice welcome

An outlet should be in a galvinized steel outlet box, and be supplied with power through romex encased in galvanized steel conduit.  The steel outlet box and conduit can be secured to the wall with concrete/masonry anchors like Tapcon.  That is what electrical code would call for.  Its the safest way to do it.
