priorities? I doubt Dr. Seuss is the cause of Police brutality, and much other stuff the politicians, the media, and the public don't want to face. Its an easy way to pretend something significant is being done, while continuing to imprison young black men for drug use & sales when there are no jobs for them, and so on, and on... Still when I read "Dr. Doolittle" to my Granddaughter it was a version that, the preface, said had been 'cleaned up', as regards old time prejudice, which was fine with me.

I would torch more than half the republicans for abdicating their duty while serving Trump instead of the people. By some very odd twists, Trump has become more important than their sacred duty. I find that incredibly concerning and will remember Jan 6 2021 as witnessed.
if Dr. Seus's book portfolio edit is being discussed in the senate it is after the publisher did what it did, as a private business, for its own reasons.

That's what I mean by immaturity epidemic. The GOP is willing to mis-inform people and play Qanon games to retain power.
Dr. Seuss is being discussed in the govt. because republicans are warning of the dangers of cancel culture. In other words, abdicating their duties instead of serving the people.

Well this sort of thing may be an issue, (see link for other examples if interested), but IMO when the more serious problems of the country are ignored by the legislators, its really functioning as a distraction from the more serious problems. then again its the US gov. so we've grown to expect, them to do anything, but govern rationally, or effectively.

I just got astrazenica - went to drug store - no line up at 9AM (this is first day for my group 65-80, and I could not reach any store by phone, but one block away I walked in and they jabbed me good)

I got Moderna - no symptoms other than a slightly sore shoulder for a day but the 2nd may be different in any case with 9 variants at present & one with 23 mutations https://www.disabled-world.com/.../cor.../covid-variants.php it seems there will be no 100% protection for anyone, and especially not long term. Only time will tell if other approaches having to do with CRISPR, will change things, but as of now it does not seem likely anytime soon. -- https://www.genengnews.com/.../inhaled-crispr-treatment.../
"While there are many thousands of variants of SARS-CoV-2,...subtypes of the virus can be put into larger groupings such as lineages or clades. Three main, generally used nomenclatures[35] have been proposed: ....had identified eight global clades .... Nextstrain has later been used for tracking SARS-CoV-2, identifying 11 major clades"
